Just got back from seeing another lame film from tarantino. Ok not as bad as death proof, but the same formula, which is; "blah, blah, blah" dialog for 20, 25 minutes, 1 minute of action, back to "blah, blah, blah"
Oh, and majority of "blah, blah", is in french and german!

Plenty of time to take a pee break, you won't miss a thing.

Feet scenes, nothing to jack off to, but has anyone ever jacked off to any of his foot scenes?
And if you can jack off to the feet in the circumstances they are shown in this film, you are a freak.

Diane Kruger's feet are basically the only feet, and they are messed up. Big bunions that even distorts her soles. taratino can't cast feet to save his life.

Save your money, but if you do go, wait until 2 hours have passed and go in, you won't miss anything. Order it on netflix if you just have to see it.

I will have to give props to Christoph Waltz, who really nailed his part.

2 stars.

I still want to see the movie, but I wasn't planning on seeing it for feet scenes. Interesting that you don't like dialogue in movies. You just prefer a non stop action flick I'm guessing?

To me, it's not his best work. I like Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill 1 & 2 and Jackie Brown better. The crowd at the theater though gave a roaring ovation. To each their own. I always say if you want to go see it, do it because you're the only judge that will give yourself the correct view on the film.

Tarantino always attracts me with his dialogue.

I have to say that with the exceptions of Syndey Poitier and Rosario Dawson, I've never thought that the feet of actresses he's featured we're atttractive.

While I have not seen this film yet, I usually enjoy all of his films. I always try to keep in perspective that when one creates films like Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction early on in one's career, the chances of recreating any films with the impact of those two are unlikely.

Sucks that you gave it this bad of a review, but I'm still going to see it. Me and my wife enjoyed the long dialog in Death Proof and other movies. Not everyone feels the same about movies. Maybe I'll agree with you, or not. But I do appreciate your honest opinion.

i saw this last nite and would not rate it higher than a 6.i think the best way to describe it is the best of resiviour dogs meets the worst of deathproof.boring boring BORING! but right when you feel like "this may be his worst film"somthing great happens to keep you in your seat.the characters were not as compelling as one would hope, and i will say that altho he had his moments, this was brad pitts weakest role ina wile....NOW FOR THE FEET-yes theres a sole shot towards the end(and was not bad),and yes theres a shoe related incident (altho nothing fetish related),i found it weak...BUT as for my theatre experience(i acually almost forgot to include this)the seat next to me was vacant and behind that was this bangin lookin latina who rested her feet on the top back of that seat for most of the film!i cant tell you how many times i tried leaning my seat back as far as possible so i could get a better look lol

How do you not like Bridgett Fonda's feet? They were beautiful in Jackie Brown?

I jerked off to Pulp Fiction when the boss's wife was walking barefoot toward John Travolta. If you pause it you can catch her wrinkles.

Everything I've read and heard about the film was positive. Reviews are very good and people are saying it's one of his best films in some time.

Like I said, people roared when the movie was over. But as for Brad Pitt's role... I told my friend I thought the movie would have been a heck of a lot better with more focus on him. He was just silly/dumb enough to really make his scenes funny.

Definitely wordy, "loquacious" even. But I enjoyed it and the obligatory foot scene.

Overall I thought it was an outrageous, funny, and entertaining film.

That movie was great, I dunno what the hell else anyone was expecting but over the top action, over the top hamming it up by Brad Pitt, and your standard Tarantino dialogue. Of course, I'm a Tarantino fan, so I may be a bit biased, but the whole theater roared with applause at the end of the movie.

The trick is, you just can't take it too seriously, because the movie doesn't take itself that seriously either. Also, just remember it's not a war movie. It's set during World War II, but it is not a war movie, a la Saving Private Ryan, in the least.

Quite frankly though, it may have been the manliest movie to have come out in some time. Which is very high praise from me.

I'd give it 2.5 or 3 stars. Christopher Waltz played the "Jew Hunter" Nazi guy, Hans Landa. I agree, his performance was extraordinary. And I've never heard of him before in my life!

I agree, Tarantino has--for someone purported to be a foot fetishist--some fucked-up taste in feet. Uma Thurman's feet get the most screen time with him, but they're ... kinda idiosyncratic. Not what I'd call stunningly beautiful feet, and not the feet I'd put on my Eve if I were God making the first woman!

He sucked the toes of Salma Hayek in "From Dusk Till Dawn," and they are some of the fugliest toes I know of in cinema. (The idiot would've been wiser to get Juliette Lewis' toes into his mouth! [Drool] )

I didn't dislike the movie as much as Coedfeet apparently did, though. It did move a little slowly, and I expected a LOT more violence than the audience was given.

One thing about it that I will criticize overtly is Tarantino's decision to do some stupid shit vis a vis injecting his '70s gonzo style into some aspects. It came across as just stupid. (When you see it, you'll know what I'm talking about.)

As for the feet that you did see, I agree, they were not all that nice. Mildly buniony, yes. From the sole view, they were passable, but not from the top view. And, um, the sole view was of the feet of a chick being murdered... Hardly what I could get off to. [Confused]

You sir are crazy. Her short ass 3 second foot scene in Jackie Brown is like my fave in all QT movies. I would dunked her toes in my Scotch and licked it off.

Oh and Inglourious Basterds was so badass. I might put it 2nd of all QT movies. I have to see it again though.

The movie plot was ok i guess, but HORRIBLY historically innacurate! I am a stickler for this, and it failed the test in multiple directions. Also quite over-acted on a few actors' parts as well. Even though the feet were ugly, the scene was very well put into the film..however I was waiting for the German Detective to sniff the shoe after picking it up..oh well. See it if you dare..Netflix would be the way to go on this. [Confused]

I just watched it and loved the film! It was really fun & a good feel good movie..... I don't watch movies & go to the cinema to jack off, that's what porns for!

Posted by lamp (Member # 19270) on :

One more thing to add, when Tarantino casts his films and finds the actors perfect for a film, is he really gonna turn then down if they don't have perfect feet?... I would bet his real life girlfriend might though!... Tarantino is a film director first, he's not making porn, just adding a personal touch & giving us a good rep!

Movie was alot of fun had all the key elements of a Tarantino film, great dialogue, great acting, great story just got to expect crazy going into it which I cant imagine anyone expecting anything else. But in the long run nothing compares to Reservoir Dogs

I agree. I saw the movie and thought it was good. As far as being based on historic facts, it wasn't meant to be historically accurate! It has multiple storylines which intersect at one point in the movie, which, I think, is very much like QT. As far as the foot scene goes, I agree that her foot is a little "buniony". However, I did like the photography used at the point where her shoe is taken off. It also looked like she has a pretty decent arch and the head-on sole shot was really good too.

The movie had a good dash of those old World War II comics featuring Captain America routinely kicking Hitler's ass every issue. Nothing wrong with some historical inaccuracy when it's clear from the get go that's not what the movie was going for.

Fuck, you wanna talk about historical inaccuracy in serious movies, let me point you to Braveheart, Gladiator, etc.

You mean Hitler didn't die while shooting an American movie? Damn... I checked that on my history quiz in school.

the movie and the whole foot fetish thing is spreading quite nicely on twitter so i quite like what its done for the foot worlds publicity and awareness, even if alot of it might be negative or some form of ridicule, as long as the seed is planted, itll grow in time.

This could be misinformed since I haven't seen the film but loads of my mates have said it's awesome so:

1) When Tarantino doesn't have much action it's generally to accentuate the brutality of violence and make it kind of surprising (to an extent)

2) What's wrong with a film using another language? Heck, two of my favourite sounding languages. Also pretty sure he's a fan of French and German cinema (which is worth checking out BTW); he's definitely a fan of Japanese cinema, hence why he used a lot of actual Japanese dialogue in Kill Bill. Furthermore it's to enhance immersion

3) You're right about him having terrible taste in feet, haha, Uma Thurman has terrible peds IMO

Anyway I'm still looking forward to seeing the film. NAZI SCALPS.
