I really do not like any kind of foot smell on my girl I think it is nasty! However, I am curious as to others that like the smell is it because it is coming from the feet or is it the actual smell? Also does the smell itself turn you on or does it have to be in the situation where you are doing something with the feet??

There is a difference between smelly and putrid. I love the warm, moist period after coming out of footwear and find the scents with the girls I've experienced with to be never too strong. For some reason, I get more excited from smelling a girl's feet than most other contacts with her feet. Don't know why, it just happens.

For me, it depends. Sometimes I like it. It has to be tasteful and not bad. Some feet have a really great smell, no matter how sweaty. Others have bad foot odor all the time. A little smell, only when good of course, is nice to me. Too much of a good thing though IS too much in a case like this.

Personally, feet that are clean and odourless are almost worthless. I can't remember the amount of times I'd be with a girl and she'd let me have her feet only to find that they were completely clean. I would get bored after maybe 10 seconds.
Smell is pretty much the reason I'm into feet.
As for whether it's the smell itself or the fact it comes from feet - I suppose it's the latter. I do actually like the smell but this is only triggered when I know it's coming from feet.

Asking a guy (or girl) why they like to smell women's feet is like your average titty guy asking a foot guy how in the world he could be sexually attracted to women's feet.
I'm a die hard foot sniffer so the feet have got to be scented or I'm thoroughly disappointed. Sight and smell are the two most important factors of my foot fetish. I visually must see the soles wrinkled up to get aroused but the icing on the cake is to get close and lightly inhale the smell that can only come from one place. Both MUST exist for me or else I run a very high risk of getting a flat tire.
That's not to say all scents that come from a woman's foot are pleasurable or that they're all equal. In my experiences it's far more common to come across a woman whose feet have no scent at all than to find one whose feet have an unpleasant scent. Several women that I've dated who knew I liked feet always sterilized their feet before I came over thinking that's what I wanted but seeing as how a lot of foot fetishists don't even get into sniffing I can see how an "outsider" would immediately come to that conclusion.
Not sure if this provided enough info from a foot sniffer to answer your question as to why we like what we like. I could write a book on the scent of a woman's foot and my theories behind it so I'll stop before I end up writing too much.

If I get to play with girlfeet that don't smell, it doesn't bother me that they don't smell. The smell is not the thing I'm after--it's the feet.
But if they do smell, it adds to the turn-on, for me. I don't know exactly what it is about the smell that is appealing. It might be the psychological effect of enjoying something "dirty" (forbidden/naughty). It's mostly related to the fact that it's her feet that is making the smell. That knowledge is crucial. If I walked into a room where a bottle of vinegar had spilled, it couldn't possibly have the effect of turning me on--but if that same exact smell came from a girl's feet, or her socks or shoes, bingo! And yes, the actual smell is appealing; as in, I do like it in a similar way to, say, liking the smell of strawberries or vanilla.
I'm rather glad that I can enjoy the smell of girlfeet because it's kind of hard to be certain that if you get to the feet, they're not going to smell! You'd almost be limited to enjoying the girl's feet right after bathing, I guess.

I love the smell of girls feet, for me I think it's kind of the paradox in a way, like you look at a pair of perfectly soft female feet and wouldn't expect them to smell, so when they do it's pretty hot. Female foot smell can either be the greatest thing you ever smelled or the worst. I think it depends solely on the girl. There are female pheromones in her sweat which can explain the fascination. Oh dear God you're wrong. First off you're transferring what you believe the fetish to be as it's definition. It really isn't. Otherwise the only foot fetish content would be of bare, worn feet without nail polish or jewellery.
Now personally I'm not into nail polish or jewellery, and dirt is a definite no. But saying that foot fetishism HAS to involve dirty feet - NO. Everyone has their own take on this.
Personally I love the smell more than anything. Kissing/licking second. No nail polish, nothing to get in the way.
