And I think we all know what flip-flops look like.
For the longest time, I found flip-flops to be the greatest shoe for us foot guys for viewing girls' feet. I still think they're great, but now I'm really starting to like the flat sandals. They expose about as much as the feet as flip-flops, but their ankle straps make them more secure to the foot, making them easier to move around in. Plus, they look a bit more elegant (is that the word?).
And maybe it's just me or my area (Detroit), but I'm starting to see more women wear those sandals nowadays than flip-flops.

Flip flops for me - but the sandals aren't bad. Still, you won't get the same kind of dangling and other things with sandals as you do with flip flops, since they are secure you won't see them being slipped off very often at all, unlike flip flops.

They are both sexy. I'm noticing the sandals being more common now, but I think flip flops will always be superior. Plus if you can't see a thing just hearing the sound of flip flops gets you excited.

The thong sandals look a bit more classy, such as the ones you linked to, but the flip flop allow a peek at a woman's soft beautiful arch. Thank goodness for good weather now, I can go bonkers every 15 seconds over sandals or flip flops.

I must agree that flip-flops do offer some nice dangling opportunities, and plus it's easier to see the woman's soles when she's sitting in front of you.

Also true, but there's also the risk of a guy wearing them, since unlike those sandals, flip-flops tend to be unisex depending on their design.

Though I cannot honestly choose between the two, I voted for the flat, thong sandals. But I'm also a huge flip-flop fan especially if they have really thin straps.
Don't know that it's actually the case but I think the sandals do look a bit more formal/dressier. Maybe not much, but some.
I actually discussed the difference between the two with my wife a short time ago. She wears dressier sandals without a back strap to work and flip-flops nights and weekends. She said that the biggest difference she notices when wearing a flat thong with a back strap is that it holds the sandal sole to the bottom of your foot all the time, unlike a flip-flop which loses contact with the sole every step, making you very cognizant of the sandal on your foot. You're very conscious of wearing them. She said in a way she finds wearing them somewhat arousing because she can feel them on her feet and at the same time know she's showing them off with barely there footwear. (btw- don't tell her I told you this or she'll kill me)

I prefer women wear some kind of heel, and when they do hopefully it doesn't have that strap that goes between the first and second toe. I don't know what it is about 'em but I never cared for that style.

Thong sandals! Hands down! Im a toe lover, the kitten heels always get me wood. I love the way they make the toes look. (thepressdownlook). Thank God for summer..Malls, supermarkets, laundrymats, etc. On another note, im trying to get into the candid vids..i have tried it out a couple of times with my camera phone..damn thing has such a big screen, i get nervous thinkin someone will see it on camera mode. I often scan the area to see if others are watching me..and there is always someone, mindin' my business. NOSEYS!

Out of both i like thong sandals just because they got a strap and i have seen women sometimes when their feet are tired wiggle out or kick the strap down so they can slip them on and off, for me that's a tease.

I voted flip flops. Personally, my foot is too wide to really look "right" in these sandals. I don't like wearing any footwear that allows any of my foot (heel or toes) to hang out or over. Sometimes the straps are too hard a material and they rub the back of my ankle and all the crucial pressure points raw. If I ever found a comfy pair that didn't look slap stupid on me, I could entertain them. The flat sandals are cute... just not on my feet, or so I think. In the end I will always shoot for comfort and if I couldn't go sans shoes... flips flops are my jam!

For some reason I've always hated almost all flat sandals. There is one kind of flat sandal I like, though. I like the kind that have such thin straps that it looks like the girl is barefoot. Since I only like flat sandals when I can't see them, I voted flip flops.

I love in the summer when women who wear dress clothes with heels going to and from work wear flip flops, though the dress sandals are almost like excuses to wear something similar to a flip flop in the work environment.

Not that I don't like flip-flops too, it's just that the thongs have a certain elegance about them, and are appropriate for the office or for more formal events in the warm weather - giving us fans the foot exposure factor without the "taboo" of casual flip-flops.

Flip flops are nice because you get to see the arch & soles but i've always prefered the look of flat thong sandals especially where it shows their bare legs & the sandals(being so much of a variety) make their feet look nice.
Perfect example of what i mean about showing their bare legs & their feet looking nice in the thong sandal,that pic is sexy
