The only footwear to be mentioned in the article.

Gotta say...yeah, I'm not a fan.

Gladiator sandals are hit-or-miss for me. Some can look REALLY nice, while others are just terrible.

I'm not a fan either.

Above all I love flip flops, but these I can live with as long as I get to see some toes. I'm neutral.

I don't like them.

Not a fan at all!

I guess I'll go against the grain...

I LOVE 'EM! [Wink]

Got an Italian decent co-worker that wears similiar sandals...and I sure do love when she does!

They are ugly and hide the beauty of a woman's foot.

Posted by solebrotha985 (Member # 2347) on :

i have to say that is spot on because i hate those sandals with a passion.

Posted by edelbrock (Member # 17055) on :

i hate em. not only do most women look flat foot when they wear them, but they also have all them restrictive straps that keep them from dangling or anything when they sit. at least strappy heels puts the foot in a nice pose to look at.

without reading that link i can honestly say i agree and have said this in the past to myself, can't stand them, ugly, stone age feet defacers

I gotta agree with Rider Aldebaran it really is a hit or a miss, most of the time I'm not a fan, but there is the odd occasion where it looks good on certain women dependent on what the wear with them

Mostly they are terrible.

Posted by FIASCo (Member # 1899) on :

I dislike most of them as well.

I like it when a fat chick wears them and the fat bulges out between the straps of them. Mmmm [Roll Eyes]

I don't mind seeing them on say 1 out of 10 girls but it seems ballet flats and gladiator sandals are the only two types of footwear that girls wear now. Ugh

Add another "hate them" to the list. Hopeful these will be a very short fad in footwear fashion.

Depends on the design of a gladiator. I have seen some that accentuate the arch and slenderness of the foot. They can be sexy. Some designs, though, are uncomplimentary. I'd rather see a gladiator, however, than a mule.

They're not bad. I think they're better than flip flops. But I appreciate a more stylish woman. My favorite shoe to see a woman in is a high heeled pump with a low cut out for the arch and a bit of toe cleavage. Go figure.

though like GQ, i like a more stylish woman, i have to say that gladiators aren't my cup of tea.. i'll take them over flipflops most times but the designer better be on point.

pumps.. my thing!

I AGREE 100%, gladiator sandals are the ugliest thing.

I don't like gladiator sandals. This comes as a surprise to those who "know" me because they kind of have a bondage look to them and are feet related. I think they look bad, and they often cover the heel which is crap if you ask me. It's ok though because gladiator sandals were for the most part last summer's fad and I've only seen them a few times this summer. I guess even the people who bought them last summer think they look like crap now too.

Gladiators, without the heel, are ugly - just as flip-flops are ugly (and classless, too).

On the other hand, the kind with height, whether 3 inches or 4+ are withstandable given their design, and their ability to make the foot look hot.

wow...I feel like I am standing alone...I still love seeing women in those strappy gladiator shoes!

Posted by Sinnister (Member # 2394) on :

Terrible idea for a female shoe. You can barely see anything at all.

I hate anything that makes a woman's foot look flat. Not sexy, not fun.

Posted by aka.footjoyboy (Member # 32751) on :

Why hate 'em?
I'd much rather slip a gladiator off than, say, a Croc..

They SUCK!..They are not sexy at all...I guess because I need to see all of the foot from the toes to the ankles...The bad part is..A LOT OF WOMEN SEEM TO THINK THAT THEY ARE CUTE...

I have to agree... Those aren't the most flattering shoes I've seen.

Lately all the popular styles seem to hide the feet for some reason... (peep toe, crocs, gladiator sandal, and my arch enemy the ballet flat ewww!!!) A woman can still be stylish and sexy with some jeweled slide-ons...

i gotta say i also dislike them

Posted by Braden Hepburn (Member # 43484) on :

I totally agree. Sandals are a big NO for me. Thongs, high heels or barefeet are my preferences

Ican't stand those godawful shoes. PERIOD!
