How do you guys get your models? I'm curious because I might be up to start snapping my own shots. How much do you pay them? Where do you advertise? Do you actively pursue them(see a model and ask, or see a models webpage and contact them) or are you more passive(put out ads and interested models contact you). Where do you shoot? Details please!

I've used women I've seen online on foot fetish websites, but mostly I check websites like Fetlife.com. Fetlife is the equivalent of Facebook. It's an online fetish community where people with similar interests talk, share ideas and even hook up. A lot of women consider themselves models and already have a standard fee.

My second go to place is Backpage.com. Backpage is where all the Craigslist escorts went when there was a crackdown on illegal activities. They have a "Domination & Fetish" section as well.

Lastly, I go to WB270.com. That website is mostly for women bodybuilders, fitness women and female wrestlers. Almost all the women on that site cater to foot fetishism in some form or another.

I've used WB270.com more then any other website. I don't have my own website, but I do take pictures.

I've paid anywhere from $100 - $300 a session.

I have women in my life, but I prefer to hire professionals who understand my fetish better.

I hope other forum members will contribute the this thread, I'd love to learn new ideas.

Craigslist is kind of a waste of time, there's alot of foot UN-friendly people roaming and flagging ads.

I don't think there's any substitute for making acquaintances in person; but it is titillating to see that special keyword in your inbox subject line... just not as reliable as face to face. All the advertising sites have been hot/cold for me and fairly unpredictable. I'd say they are all adjuncts for recruiting in person.
Have you tried model mayhem? That may be the most straightforward approach online...

better off using backpage. depending on the area you live in, you can strike gold with it.

Model Mayhem is not accepting any more "foot fetish" photographers. Maybe backpage I guess, never used that for any of my models as they were mostly met in person, modeling agencies, word of mouth, or model mayhem.

My compensation goes anywhere from 200 bucks to 800 bucks, depending on if she is doing any lesbian stuff for my other sites...

hmm...I was curious about this with Model Mayhem...how do they ween out if you are a foot fetish model?

You could lie and say you are a lingere photog to get in and then start looking for models for foot fetish...since there are people I am assuming grandfathered in.

...or do they get reports back and you could get the boot if they find out your real objective?

Yeah probably the latter, there's alot of tattle-tails on that site lol. I think you have to have a minimum of 3-4 photos to start a profile and how will you get your point across as to your style or what you want to do if it doesn't show feet? I don't know, you could try and start as a novice looking for experience behind the camera and do TF shoots. I suggest getting a minimum DSLR camera though to be taken seriously.

I remember shooting candids and girl friends' feet with disposable cameras back in the mid-90's and getting the film developed at Sav-On drug stores lol!It was only for fun and personal collections back then though so it didn't matter. [Big Grin]

GQguy: How do you guys get your models? I'm curious because I might be up to start snapping my own shots.

Jedi: I use various sources: internet, flyers, and approaching them in person

Note: These methods will work better if you live in or near larger cities. There will be more girls and locations, and the issue of privacy will be more to your advantage. In small towns/cities, everyone talks. Therefore, everyone knows everyone's business. I knew a man in my dry state/town who discreetly sold liquor. There would be no way that same man could have discreetly ran a foot fetish site from his house! People understand liquor. Feet--not so much.

GQguy: How much do you pay them?

Jedi: It depends on the type of shoot, the type of girl, and your demographics. Something simple can allow you to pay a smaller amount. Complex, more physical, or sexual stuff means you will pay more. Amateurs are paid less than experienced models. Hotter girls will expect more money than mediocre ones. Your location matters. You will be able to pay a girl in Tennessee a different amount than a girl in New Jersey for doing the same thing because of the cost of living. I am applying this to the U.S., not overseas.

GQguy: Where do you advertise?

Jedi: internet forums, tube sites, and through girls I shoot

GQguy: Do you actively pursue them(see a model and ask, or see a models webpage and contact them) or are you more passive(put out ads and interested models contact you).

Jedi: Posting ads, flyers, or approaching girls in person are active pursuits. But then they quickly become passive, as you wait for girls to reply, or call back. If you want to be aggressive, then you will do some direct internet contacting, and you will get contact information from girls for follow up.

GQguy: Where do you shoot? Details please!

Jedi: I used to do location shoots, meaning leaving my home to meet girls. Those locations were hotels [I don't like those], or at a girl's home. But after a few no shows after making three-hour, one way multiple bus communtes, I ended that. I now shoot at my place.

Is this personally confirmed, and if so, do you know the approximate timeframe when they made this policy official?

I remember MM using an unofficial anti-footfetish policy some years back, but I don't know of when or if they went official with it.

Sad news for all budding foot photographers [Cry]

I've always asked mostly friends, classmates, etc. Anyone who knows me, knows I have the fetish and mostly everyone knows I do the site. If you're going to do something more adult, then that might not be wise. I used to use One Model Place when I first opened Soles of Silk, but found that asking friends was better.

As for the notion that pro models are better than amateur ones, I say that greatly depends. For what I do, I can't see paying a girl who calls herself professional and wants more money to do the same poses, act snobby, show up late, and not be social the than I give someone like Ryan, Mindee, Cierra, Carlin, etc. If you're looking for something more adult, however, then you'll also probably want to go the pro route. I just think the pro thing is overrated when it comes to most of what lots of people are looking to do. And before everyone chimes in on me for that comment, I did say "MOST" people.

Patrick
