i always wondered that myself. my wife told most of her female friends but they've never reacted any differently and it's not like they were sandals less often knowing what i like to see.
then again, my ex-sister in law would play it up. we'd visit their family in canada in december and she'd make sure she was barefoot the whole time. or she'd point at things with her toes. or she'd talk about how she loves foot massages. she still posts pics of just her feet on her facebook with inane comments. she is a bit of an attention whore.
