It's possible. Some guys do take basic care of their feet as well, and in some areas they may just want to be comfortable especially if it's hot or in a humid/tropical environment.

I saw it happen again today while I was at Wal-Mart; this Middle Eastern/South Asian (not sure which they were) couple had the guy in flip-flops, and his companion in flats. Sad thing is, she was pretty attractive too, so I found that to be a waste.

I agree in a way but I think it is acceptable for guys to wear flip-flops by the swimming pool (danger of verrucas/warts) or in a communal shower for team sports/gym (done it myself before). Other than that, guys should only wear sandals out in public.

Whatever guys are wearing is irrelevant.

I always specifically encourage hot girls wearing boots, sneakers, shoes&socks, toms, flats etc... to take them off for the cameras.
