...On-topic, the Nike sneakers. Five-finger shoes just look awful period.

I'm a five finger guy myself. Though not too many wear them with socks. I have a pair and always no socks for me.

If you're serious about running in these you have to go with what's best for your body, not what we say. It looks like you're into minimalist running. One option you should look into is to go to a running specialty store with a good return policy. Mine lets me return up to 10 days after purchase, no matter how much I've run in them. That way you could test them both.
The wrong shoes can mess up your feet, and you never get them back. Speaking from experience...

Hey guys thanks so much for the responses! I've actually have been thinking about getting the Nikes because I searched a little more on fetish forums about Fivefingers and saw how many fetishist thinks they are horrible =( I personally think they are really interesting looking and I LOVE the fact that I can wiggle my toes around BUT I tried on a pair of my friends before and they were so weird feeling! I could feel everything I walked over like it was think feeling but still feels like it's a good shoe, I can't explain better other than weird haha. And I've actually tried on a pair of Nikes free runs BUT not in my size haha. I actually thought they were incredibly comfortable. they were my brother in law's shoes >.< he does have small feet though so they weren't all that big, here is a picture of me wearing his shoes haha : [IMG]http://img128.imagevenue.com/loc507/th_791285698_bigprvwnicksshoes_122_507lo.jpg[/IMG] As for smell, the Nikes don't have a problem picking up oder at all >.< haha his smelt SO bad! haha. Wanna be different? Go for the 5 Finger, I wouldn't mind seeing those. Sneakers are just plain, well, sneakers.

I think the five finger things are hideous and agree with Hyperion that you want good supportive shoes to exercise in.

Nike...Always....Nike especially if it's something that you truly plan to use for training...The research and development that they put into their merchandise is 2nd to none...I haven't used any other athletic gear in ages....
The five finger things are not cute and I really hate to see dudes in them...It's almost like they are in the gym with their feet out....
BTW...I kind looked through your previous post and saw the pictures that you've posted...Very Very nice...
