I know it seems odd to be posting this on a fetish forum, but i thought I'd do it anyway.

Has anyone here dealt with an addiction to pornography? I know that we all love, and feel addicted to, feet on this forum. But has anyone specifically tried to deal with an addiction to porn? If so, would you mind sharing how that came about, what you did, what you learned about yourself?

If this isn't an appropriate topic for this forum, I apologize, it can be removed. I am dealing with my addiction, and I thought this might be a relevant discussion for some of the members here.

My addiction began about 25 years ago, when I was in the 6th grade, after finding my dad's Penthouse mags. That's around the same time that I discovered that I liked feet, and the porn that features feet was always the best for me. Anyway, 25 years later and daily multiple viewings of porn that whole time has left my brain hard wired to seek out porn. Feet included, but i do not see my foot fetish as an addiction, but more simply part of my healthy sexuality. I have always tried hiding my porn addiction, and my wife of 11 years came to a breaking point after the nth time if finding that I was viewing porn. We have now begun counseling, both together and separately, and it has been very beneficial for both of us.

I have done pint for so long that it is a very real part of my mental psyche. I like it. I long for it, I even feel that I love it. However I recognize that my addiction, or obsession with porn, has had negative influences on my life. I have many aspirations and desires of how to improve my life and therefore the life's of my family, however the amount of time I spend looking at porn keeps me from achieving these goals. I don't necessarily hate porn or have any moral stand against it. Like I said, I still really, really like it. But because of the realization that I am obsessed with it, I am taking steps to remove it from my life.

I appreciate anyone who has taken the time to read my post, especially because I recognize that typing on an iPhone makes it difficult to compose a well thought message.

This is also my first post in a while, and my first opportunity to express my condolences for Wu and his family. I never knew him, and while his site helped contribute to my obsession over porn when I was younger, I learned a valuable lesson about my foot detish and realized that there is nothing wrong or abnormal about having a foot fetish.

Right now, I view porn daily and sometimes for hours at a time. Nevertheless, when I'm in a relationship (which I am not, presently), I don't seek it very often.

I've never made a secret of my passion for porn - nor my passion for feet. Further, when/if a GF is curious, I have no embarrassment about sharing it, especially my bondage porn.

Am I an addict? Don't feel like one...but maybe.

I went through what I call a routine/habit rather than an addiction. I masturbated twice a day while looking at porn for hours. It eventually lost it's edge and I wasn't able to get it up. Once I quit masturbating for a few days and not looking at it I was able to masturbate without it.
Now I can get it up since I control masturbation frequency and can look at porn without masturbating. I'm not desensitized to looking at images or watching vids now. I actually get rock hard while looking at it but save it for a real woman.

See, that's the thing about men and women. For us guys, jerking off is just a bodily function that needs to be performed daily. Looking at porn serves to enhance the experience but if you went without it long enough I know for a fact that my imagination could easily get me through it.

For women, sexuality is far more involved and also includes feelings, love, emotions and whatnot. So a lot of women think that if you're looking at porn there's something wrong with your relationship or god forbid that there's something wrong with her and you don't find her attractive anymore and that your relationship is doomed to fail. This couldn't be further from the truth.

According to my wife, yes, I'm addicted to porn and based on that criteria so are most men. But the way I look at it, it's just part of my "me time". It's what I do when I'm alone and need to get off to some feet without going out and pursuing other women to show me their feet or let me smell their feet and cum all over them.

I also believe that you need balance in your life. You need to allow time for family, friends, work as well as your personal time just for you and you alone. Whether that personal time is spent getting high, meditating, working out or jerking off to porn that time slot is reserved for whatever brings you joy. If anyone of those starts to rob time from another than your life starts to become unbalanced and you start having problems. If porn truly is taking time away from productive things you need to be doing, rather than giving up on it altogether just spend less time doing it.

A guy having an addiction to porn, is like having an addiction to oxygen.

Why did you marry someone who doesn't accept you? That's like a vegetarian walking into a McDonald's, and being outraged by what they are serving.

Plus this so-called "addiction" of yours is 100% her fault. If she isn't satisfying you as a husband, she isn't doing her job as a wife.
