I've never really thought about it until now, but I'm noticing I get more out of foot models who smile or show facial expressions more than those who keep a straight face.

It could just be a personal preference, but I think I enjoy models more who look like they're having a good time during the photo shoot. I think a big part of the experience in viewing a photo set or video is seeing the model get into it, and when they do it feels like they're enjoying it as much as you are.

What about you? Does a good smile or a laugh turn you on? Or do you prefer models who keep a strict composure? Or does it not matter as long as their feet are attractive?

It really depends on what you're looking for in the images/videos you're viewing. There are all kinds of sites that do different kinds of material that would differ immensely.

For Soles of Silk I tend to go more for the girl next door type of thing. Every day girls showing off their feet, sometimes in some neat/interesting locations, all while having fun doing it. Naturally I prefer the smiles and carefree expressions over the staring through the camera and straight faced look. I do have models do them, however, for certain shoots. Sometimes I get a theme or creative bug - like with Kaycee's zombie schoolgirl set for Halloween in 2014. Naturally someone just chewed on by a zombie and who is about to turn into one herself probably isn't going to be overly festive. LOL!

Some other sites also include the more adult aspects. Now having fun while having sex, even foot sex, can also be a good thing. Sometimes, however, the sites/scene call for a more "sexy" look or act and smiling and laughing would seem like the model were distracted. It really is all about what the scenes call for, or the site specializes in.

I, myself, have always been a fan of what I shoot. That doesn't mean I don't like to look at beautiful porn girl studio poses and such. I just prefer shooting what I do. I can even say that I've told a few models used to doing adult content who posed for me that my stuff is going to be VERY tame compared to what they're used to. LOL!

IMO, it doesn't matter as long as the woman has a natural beauty. Everybody has a good day, everybody has a bad day, just like the fact that anyone can smile or keep a straight face. Why should one split second in an image characterize a woman for her entire life or an entire session?

My thoughts exactly..the overwhelming majority of people who e-mail me comment on the positive facial expressions my models have (most) of the time unless the wrong split second moment catches her offgaurd. The good ones always stick with the audience.

Thread title pretty much answers itself. Modeling itself is expression. Good expression can be viewed as good modeling. If you feel that a model is good, it's probably because you liked something about what you saw expressed.

OMG, you just stumbled upon my secret! But seriously, some models can pull off the sultry, serious look, but a lot of them, specially if they're not too experienced, just tend to look uncomfortable. There's nothing more inviting than a smile, let's face it, it can immediately put someone at ease, and disarm grumpy folks (sometimes). I always tell my models that Feet Fair is all about having fun, and when I shoot video, I specifically tell them not to say things that would make the viewer feel ashamed of having a foot fetish. I know a lot of folks are into the whole shaming and humiliation thing, but that's not certainly the spirit of The Fair. I want my models to look like the type of girls you can confess your deepest fetish desires too, without being judged harshly, and go out of my way to hire happy and open minded models for my sessions.

The only model I work with that has hardly ever cracked a smile is the gorgeous Catalia but that's due mostly to the fact that she's a rather shy and quiet girl, with a very unassuming personality. I actually have a lot of affection for Catalia 'cause she's so sweet, and I know that if I make her smile more for pics, it would look forced, so I go with the flow, although she's an obvious exception.

BTW, some models just look hotter when not smiling. I'm shooting with sweet and sexy Tessa later this month, and even though she has a very bubbly personality, and is always laughing and cracking jokes, I plan to make her look more alluring by not smiling.
