Something I was thinking about, recently: Can a foot fetish be "learned?"
Say, there's a guy who has never felt sexual attraction to female feet before. But then, he comes in contact with a girl who likes to got barefooted, a lot. And seeing her feet constantlyon display causes him to develope an attraction to them.
Alternatively, a guy's girlfriend unexpectedly asks him to massage her feet, one day. He has never before rubbed a woman's feet, and doing so causes him to experience an attraction to them he never before felt.
I think this is possible. What do you all think?

In my opinion its an inherent thing thats not acquired but in your DNA. Similar perhaps to sexual orientation. Theres not a lot of literrature on the topic though but thats my view and experience, as i have had an attraction to female feet for as long as i can remember. I would say it has probably grown in intensity over time...

I would say the fetish itself can not be acquired. You either have it or you don't. That's not to say you're unable to enjoy a foot related act. An old friend of mine had never been able to enjoy handjobs, so his girlfriend gave him a footjob as an experiment and he was hooked. He didn't enjoy anything else about feet other than a footjob.

I would say it could be learned.

I would say it can be learned, but also develop into a more sexually attraction.

When I first noticed I liked feet, I got scared a little and I didn't know what to do,so google helped me learn about feet and how they can be sexual to people, I cant remember how it started or when or why? I think you are born with it, attracted to the size, smell or shoe but I also think something a little psychological more than the others.

I guess we will never find out, but I learnt to cherish, let it develop.

I think it can be learned as well, but maybe you need to have some kind of predisposition to it?

I never considered that I might have a foot fetish until I met my bf at age 31 and he told me about his foot fetish. Then we started exploring it together and now sometimes I think I enjoy it just as much if not more than he does. And I've tried playing with other partner's feet and enjoyed it just as much, even if they weren't particularly into foot play. I've also found myself thinking back and realizing that I do admire people's (particularly women's) feet from time to time, I guess I just never realized it? And I was raised with my huge feet always being a pain because it was so difficult or expensive to find shoes, maybe the environment I was in previously just wasn't conducive to me discovering my foot fetish.

Either way, I am very glad I've found it now! [Smile]

It's all about the experiences some have a children with feet determines if they will like them or not. Learned? Yes..DNA? maybe, although scientists have pretty much well sequenced the human genome and haven't found the Foot Fetish gene yet lol.

Anything, even a sexual attraction can be learned. It's all about matching associations with stumuli. At some point there was something in everyone's past that influenced the way they view sex in general and certain connotations were made along nervous pathways. It may have been consciously realized or not. Particularly when we are very young, things impact us in ways we do not realize.
That being said, due to what we learn in early life, some people are more predisposed toward certain fetishes, paraphilias, etc. That is also to say that these things can be learned about later in life (an adult discovering foot fetishism, BDSM, or something new as examples).
Some people actualize these things earlier than others.

I don't know about every other guy, but I know that I discovered this in kindergarten and still don't plan trips to Hooters to get hard at chics presenting certain assets. Even after sucking on nipples, kissing tits, and being boob smothered.
There's no other part of a woman that can get me going like feet.

I wouldn't doubt that there are guys who discover an appreciation for the well taken care of feet of their s/o. I don't think that it opens up doors to strong sexual arousal for feet though.

Or maybe foot fetish really is a curse that can be cast on someone at any point of their life.

If it's a curse, I'm glad to have it.

I think it isn't learned, but more developed. What starts off as a curious interest in feet in the early years develops into something sexual when puberty hits. This is my experience of it anyway.

My girlfriend tells me she's gotten more into her feet, since we've been together.

If he derived sexual pleasure from getting a footjob I would then argue that he in fact has a foot fetish.

I have had a foot fetish for as long as I can remember, probably early to mid teens. However it has gotten stronger over the years. A LOT stronger.

My foot fetish was intensely with me even from age 3 or 4.
I sometimes wonder why other guys don't get turned on by feet till puberty. On the other hand, I didn't realize the foot-penis connection till my late teens.

There are probably instances where a guy makes a remarkable discovery about how turned on he got when he playfully sucked his girlfriend's toes.

On a related note I am sure a lot of other guys around here thought they were weird and like the only person in the world who liked girl's feet when they were young and growing up ... that is how I felt too.

Of course I grew up back in the 1980s before the advent of the internet and all the foot fetish sites so I wasn't aware that it was actually a "thing" ... if I was a kid growing up in the present-day with access to the internet I am guessing I wouldn't feel so weird for liking feet lol

hahaa...well I am sure you can relate we only had like the Sear's Catalog and random store ad circulars in the Sunday newspaper to look at girl's feet back then if we didn't happen to randomly catch a glimpse of them at school ... kids today are so spoiled with the interwebs [Tongue]

Women's magazines were a good source. And occasionally, Playboy would show the feet of one of their girls!

I say it can be learned. Asses did nothing for me until later on in life. Growing up hearing songs on the radio about asses and all that I was like...."yeah ok" [Roll Eyes] but... now female asses make me drool [Drool] I was intrigued with 'feet only' from the age of about 4 til into my twenties which again was FEET ONLY. Nowadays it's like feet, ass, hips, hair, titties.... accessories like glasses, red hair, tattoos... Women are such amazing creatures don't ya think [Hump]

I personally think that it's genetic/biological. People will have a propensity towards fetishism.

Interesting that almost 99% of foot fetishists (all fetishists for that matter) are men.

I know a guy who experimented with it, though it wasn't something burned in during the formative years. For me it has always been so.

I suppose it could be learned. I have heard of men and even women trying it out and then getting hooked. As for me, it all started in the fifth grade when my sexy red headed teacher would come to school with sexy, strappy black high heels on. I loved her feet and knew that it was not accepted but stared anyway.

I'm not sure. I would be interested in hearing if it is hereditary though.
