Do many people here consider foot fetishism to be a part of bdsm? I guess it would depend on how much submissiveness plays a part in one's fetish, but i'm curious about general opinion.

Not necessarily, though foot partialism does tend to gravitate towards bdsm. I think there are many levels, from men who just like women's feet not necessarily submissive to submissive men (again, many levels) to more dominant foot play all the way to bdsm. Same with humiliation regarding foot fetish, but again, many levels as well.

Not for everyone but for me feet are definitely involved in bdsm, both the fantasy part & activities I have actually done. In fact my youngest memories of being drawn to feet were in movies, tv shows, & artwork featuring "damsel in distress" style scenes, often showing the damsel with her ankles bound or shackled & her feet bare. In fact I believe that the possible reason I find ankle bracelets so sexy is that they remind me on some level of ropes or cuffs, make it kinda look like a woman's ankles are tied up...

Definitely, I will link the most memorable scenes to me.
Thunderball: the Bond movie, where the Bond girl Domino is kidnapped at the end & you see her tied up on the villain's boat barefoot, being threatened with torture. Never say Never Again: a Bond movie too, that starts with Bond fighting through a building to rescue a hostage tied hand & foot to a bed.
