I don't know what it is, but there is something particularly intriguing about a lady telling another, that she has pretty feet.

Yes I hear ya. The idea that maybe they see the attraction that people like us see in them? Or at least acknowledging the possibility that they are attractive. In counters the general attitude of 'hating feet' that some people seem to have.
