Both me & the wife are hooked on Jackass right now. The movie, the series, & even all the spinoffs like Viva la Bam & Wild Boys. But of course we can't forget the CKY series of films. That's where Jackass all started!

Hehehh awesome Lou... somebody else has actually seen Robot Jox. My brother rented it a few years ago because his fiance had never seen it, the special effects looked alot cheesier than I remember when I checked in the movies as a kid. It was still an interesting concept, had kind of a Voltron or Tranz-Or-Z feel to it.
I can't list all of the ones I liked, too many to remember. Here's a rough list.
Bachelor Party Old School - We've got to KEEP OUR COMPOSURE!! American Pie trilogy Terminator trilogy LOTR trilogy Blackhawk Down Saving Private Ryan Full Metal Jacket Jackass The Movie - I am surrounded by cacti... American History X The Punisher Sorority Boys Tears of the Sun Band of Brothers miniseries Frequency Men at Work Home Alone Casino Analyze This Office Space

My all-time favorite. I was only 6 when it originally opened in theaters, but I've been fortunate enough to have taken advantage of two opportunities since then to see it on the big screen at special showings both here in the city and upstate. It's a masterpiece.

P.S. - All work and no play makes Calico Jack a dull boy.

You remember Tranzor-Z too huh? That's awesome. That cartoon had a lot of things in it that I'm surprised that it made it to 1980's American children's television. You had the fem-bot Aphrodite-A that could fire her tits off as missiles, a hermaphrodite villain named Devilina, and when Dr. Demon's foot-soldiers got their helmets knocked off, you could see their brains and wiring as they died (spooky stuff for kids, IMO).
Yeah, Robot Jox's script was a turd, but the effects had that campy-cool feel to them that I can't seem to get enough of (I'm a pushover for Japanese monster movies and Sentai shows). I never got to see the "sequel" Robot Wars...maybe I should hunt that down someday.

Voltron and Transformers were two of my all-time favorite cartoons as a kid, so naturally I loved the movies as well. I had all the little action figures from both of them and used to watch the shows religiously back then as I suspect you guys did too. hehe The only stipulation about Voltron though for me was that it had to be the lion version. I thought the other two versions paled in comparison somewhat.

Hey Steve, did you ever play the Tron & Discs of Tron video games in your local arcades back in 1982 & 1983? Both of them had that awesome flight-style transparent joystick that glowed neon blue. That image will always be permanently tattooed in the walls of my memory as an aesthetically beautiful part of the arcade culture which I called home during the early 1980s. The arcades may all be gone now, but I still call it home even today!

Yes I did play Tron & Discs of Tron CJ. One of my old childhood memories. Besides playing Pong on the Atari.
Do you remeber when the arcades had the Pacman game in a glass dome?
We used have ALL of the Transformers firgures. That and Heman.

Glass dome? I'm not sure I know what you're referring to. I've seen plenty of upright & cocktail versions of the Pac-Man cabinet in my day, but none encased in bubbles. hehe

I think I was referring to the cocktail version.

I have a few favorite movies but I can't believe nobody has mentioned "Man On Fire". That is one kick ass movie. Great storyline excellent cinematography, well directed, and Denzel Washington kicked ass. The end of this movie made me cry and I'm not a kinda guy to get all emotional and shit.
If there was one movie out there that you absolutely had to watch Man On Fire is differently the movie to watch.

I have to say that I agree with you on that one! Man On Fire was an absolute knock-out !! Come to think of it... I can't remember the last Denzel movie that was bad . We just watched Manchurian Candidate a couple weeks ago, and that was another good one... without all the sappy crying and sad endings! Another one that was good was Out of Time... (I think that's what it was called..) that's the one where he's a cop who is framed for murder. All in all, I would have to say that Denzel is one kick-ass actor!!

Clerks (all things Kevin Smith actually) Dogma The Green Mile The Adventures of Robin Hood (Errol Flynn) Dances With Wolves The Quiet Man (Classic, sexy, hilarious) The Princess Bride Pulp Fiction Reservior Dogs Kill Bill vols. 1 & 2 LOTR Trilogy (extended DVD versions) Scent of a Woman (this's about Sasha's feet right?) The Fifth Element (mmmm Mila Jovovich) Monty Python and the Holy Grail Tombstone Highlander (There can be only one, the first one) JFK (BIG conspiracy buff) Beautiful Girls (Not well known, but marvelous) The Shawshank Redemption The Matrix (ignoring both sequels) The Commitments Star Trek 2 - The Wrath of Kahn Superman (Chris Reeve...puts a lump in my throat) Goodfellas X-Men 1 & 2 Notting Hill East of Eden (James Dean's finest hour) On the Waterfront (c'mon...Brando. 'nuff said.) The Godfather 1 & 2
And the list goes on.... Now, if you were to ask about all time favorite television series.....

"Once Upon A Time In The West" .If you like westerns, see it. Sergio Leone is great as a director, Henry Fonda is stone cold as the bad guy. The '70s camp/horror film "The Car" scared the crap out of me as a kid-still gives me the willies. "The Usual Suspects"-"give me the keys you fucking cocksucker!"

I saw it in the theaters when it first came out. My mom took me to see it when I was 12 and it scared the living shit out of me then! I remember getting nervous around showertime for about a year after that! I still enjoy watching it today and my own kiddo now refers to it as the "mean daddy movie."

Nervous? I used to look forward to showertime after seeing that one! I kept hoping to find a sexy naked gal waiting to greet me with an embrace when I'd go to pull the shower sheet back. Hell, even if she'd transformed into the old decrepit lady, it still would've been more action than I was getting at 6. hehe
