Just wondering if there is any way for me to put all my foot content(pix/clips) all into a folder which only i have access to?.Say with a password on it?. I don't know how to do this so all my foot content i save, i take to the recycle and leave in there without deleting them fully.I have a password on my user account but,when a family member wants to get into it for my music,i type the password(without them seeing)but i stay with them since i am so worried they might go to the recycle for some reason!.If i can put all my content into one folder with a password which i create that would stop me from worrying about people finding it!!.

Do you have Winzip? With that you can create password protected archives. I believe it costs a few bucks now unless you can find a free version but their site is www.winzip.com
Or do you have Windows XP? With XP there can be multiple user accounts and user folders that only that person can get into.

There are some fine programmes for folder/files encryption. I used to have the MagicFolders when I was living at my parent's home. You could try Magic Folders, it's easy and safe. The link is : http://www.pc-magic.com/des.htm#mf

Sorry I misunderstood what you had said. Well if you have Windows XP (since you said you had user accounts I'm thinking you do), move your music into a shared folder that everyone can get into and that way they wont have to go onto your account

I think even if multiple users login with different accounts using the same pc with XP, each one can still access the Hard Disk's contents.

Hi guys,
I do have windows XP with own accounts but i really hope people don't still have access!!.I don't even know what partition is? lol.All i want is for someone to take me through the steps of putting all my foot content into a folder which i can put a password.I don't really have nothing to worry about other than the content i have in my recycle. Also,when clearing the HD,will all the porn i have searched and been into show up on the screen at anytime?.I was told that when in the process of having your HD cleared the screen is black the whole way through so nobody sees anything and that i will have nothing to worry about.Is that true?.

I'll see if I cant figure out how to do it with XP. I don't share my computer so I just have my account, but I'm pretty sure with more than one account you can have folders that the other accounts cant get to and ones that you can share.
I'm afraid that even with just deleting the pics there are always traces on your HD hidden. However if your family isn't very computer literate then they probably won't find anything. Definatly remember to clear your internet history and cookies after searching sites and pics.

what i do is save all my foot content onto an e-mail account e.g. on hotmail or postmaster. this way only you can get onto the acount and view your pictures

Actually, with WinXP you can hide folders. Maybe that would help?
Or use WinRar instead of Winzip, it`s free.

I don't know if it's been said because I didn't read the replies but what you can do is create a folder with all your foot pics in and then right click it. You'll see you have the option of making it invisible.

Try this....Alright right-click on the folder with your pics in it. Select the option that says 'Sharing and Security...'
When the Sharing and Security window pops up there will be three tabs up top to choose from which are 'General, Sharing, Customize'...Click on Sharing.
There is an option that if you check the box only your account will be able to access your pics folder. You will also note that it talks about shared folders and that if you move all your music files into 'Shared Documents' then everyone on your computer will be able to access the music without having to go onto your account. Bam you're good to go.

You said to click on Sharing?.If i click Sharing then anybody would be able to go into that folder and find all my foot content???.What should i do?.

Share your music files and dont share your foot pics. If you click on My Computer up top (at least on mine) there is a shared documents folder and then a documents folder that has my username. Use those if you want making sure that your folder is not shared like I said in my last post how to do.
