I paid $2.67 on Sunday to fill-up for $28, $20 of which came from giftcards I got from my work....just four days later, it hit $3.39 for me.

Athens, Greece: rates are from 1,05 Euros to 1,40 per gallon for Unleaded Petrol.

This morning was $2.94 for regular. That was my wife's car.

Mine only runs on 93 octane, so I am not driving it except for some fun runs.

I am taking my son and his friend to a movie and dinner tonight, so I am sure I will take it and I think premium 93 was at $3.27 today! At least it has 3/4 of a tank right now, so that might last me a few days.

This is just getting out of hand. Our school bus system has talked about shutting down routes because of the prices!

My kid's don't take the bus this year, but so many other's around us do. This will have an enormous impact on working family's around here who's schedule's conflict with school times.

The gas station near my house were charging 2.25$ a liter yesterday, I live in Canada. I don't know if the price went up since then because I haven't gone out yet.

3.05 a gallon when I filled up at 6:00 A.M. this morning in Texas. I have a 66 mile round trip to work I make daily which is going to kill me in the old bank account.

I was fortunate enough to fill up at $2.69 per gallon right before it went over $3.00. Now, it's lowered back to around $2.69 again and I'm down half a tank, so things could be worse.

Today, Sept 13 2005, I bought the regular at $3.17 here in Baltimore. That's considerably lower than it was a week ago at about $3.47.

I have a 2001 Ford F-150 and $40 gave me about 3/4 of a tank.

My wife completely filled the tank in her Honda last week when the prices were higher. It cost her $50!!!

It cost one of my footgal friends $40 to completely fill the tank in her Nissan yesterday here in NY, so the prices have dropped about 50 cents a gallon or thereabout since the record high prices that were being charged a week ago. I continue to keep an eye on the various gas stations in town so I can shop comparatively because there are still significant variations and fluctuations in price from one station to the next.

LOL... Yeah, $2.89 - $2.99 on the average in my neck of the woods too at the moment. I know of one particular place that's got it for $2.69 though which isn't too far away, so when I'm in the area I fill up there.

I noticed on my way to work last night it was $2.59 at most stations. The gas station at Wal-Mart was $2.55, I think. I dunno. I was tring not to get hit by some old lady driving crazy. But think that is what it said.

$2.77, with no lines, while virtually everywhere else was $2.99. I avoided the station that offered $2.74 per gallon, unleaded, that had droves and droves of people lined up.

My Cavalier Z24 was really empty, it's got a 15gal tank.

Get a Credit card w/high percentage rebates on gas, that's what i did! I get like 15 bucks a month back on all the gas i buy, sweet!

I filled my 2006 F150 up when the gas light was on! It cost me $92.00! That was in Alberta too..which gas is not as expensive as the rest of the country. At that time gas was 84c a litre. Gas back east at that time was like 95c a litre! That was back in March...I filled it up completly back out west two weeks ago the gas was 79c a litre this time and it only cost me $73.00...which is definetly better than last time.

Sorry guys but you in the US have it easy. In the UK, it's just about £4.50/gallon, = $9, meaning an average 14-gallon tank costs the equivalent of US$126 to fill from empty. Of course, most of that (76%) is creamed off by our tax-mad dictator's spin machine, otherwise konwn as the Labour government. Car tax costs well over $300 a year, cigarettes cost the equivalent of $10 a packet, a beer almost $6, and if you want to live in a decent house (sorry, box) you'll pay "Council Tax" (legalised extortion) of well over $2,000 equivalent per year, having already lost over a third of your pay packet, (or if you earn over $70,000 equivalent, 51%) at source through Income Tax and National Insurance. Bloody government.

I only use Ultra94 in my cars, both with additives. My Mazda will generally take $55 or so. The Viper on the other hand...I think its getting better milage than the Mazda....Simply because of the gearing, engine speed etc. Cruising around town in 5th (start in 2nd) at 55 km/h is only 1100rpm on my tach. Gotta hand it to them Dodge boys.

$2.99 a gallon yesterday..before prices at the pump have now risen today to $3.26 despite the price of crude declining the last two days....just doesn't amke sense....not the $3.26 part, but the fact that gas right now is $1.39 HIGHER than it was in mid-December.

$3.22 here today - your gas, LeDaemon is among the cheapest in the country right now - there is a refinery near where I live, in Indiana (one of the largest in the U.S.) that is being shut for repairs for most of the summer, so that, among other temporary refinery closures, might explain why gas is at a national-average record of $3.07 a gallon.

Its the cheapest, but making that 70 mile round trip back and forth to work 5 days a week adds up on my gasoline bill! Last summer I was racking up over $500 a month easily and I was not doing any excessive driving except for my commute. I really dread this summer for that same reason.

Wow that is cheap compared to the Great Lakes prices...I understand the nationwide average is $2.80 a gallon, so even $2.75 isn't quite too bad, especially when $3.19 is considered a price break.

As the owner of a couple of boats, I can't wait to find out the price of marine gas (it's the same gas you get for your car except that it is pumped from a pier); likely over $5.00.

Diesel is $5 USD a gallon in some areas of the map, not necessarily in my neck of the woods. Thank goodness I'm still on a full tank and have been for the last half-month.

Gas at the local Citgo was $3.79 a gallon this morning. The store owner told me that it'll be $3.95 on Monday or Tuesday.

I dont know why you guys are complaining in the uk
the cost of a litre is approx £124.9p (approx $2.45 dollars a litre. $9.261 per gallon!!!! )

Recently I traveled south for my ten year anniversary for the weekend and before leaving I filled my Chevy Blazer LS - to the tune of $60.00. Near my home the price is approx. $3.90 per gallon.

On the way home though, I had to refuel in Vero Beach, to the tune of $4.09 per gallon.

I have been told the cost is affected by many things - including the fact that the refineries shut down about now in the season to provide the plants with maintenance. This raises fuel charges as well.

$57 today. i usually fill up when i reach the half tank level, but i wasn't paying attention i guess. good thing they have that light that pops on and says low fuel!

$42 bucks to fill my tank yesterday afternoon....at $3.71 a gallon and not too bad considering the station a block down had gone up to $3.95 and the clerk said that the price was set to raise "any minute" so I truly go there right in the nick of time before the price shot up....my tank was right near empty so I made out good!

Our gas is down to $3.21 a gallon so its like forty to get me through the week for one truck and thirty for the other i do not really fill them anymore.

I wanna see some South Carolinians weigh in or anyone else from maybe Texas, like LeDaemon....heard gas prices are supposed to get extremely high due to closed refineries...

I haven't gassed up yet, but my local Chevron station was at $3.49 this morning. Ike is supposed to hit the coast this evening so I imagine $3.90 is right around the corner again.

I put in $16 bucks worth at $3.92 to put myself back at Full because who knows what the gas will do on Monday - one station had 35-40 cars in droves to get it. Basically anywhere that sold gas yesterday the wait was excruciating. My pump only had two cars in front of me at a less busier station. By the time I filled up the normal exit was clogged with cars - I have never seen anything like this in my lifetime.

dunno how much it would take to do a fill up on my sedan. i stop the pump at 50.. so i don't know how much it would take. but with prices coming down, i've noticed that i'm getting a lot closer to a complete fill than ever before.

the worst it was.. 50 didn't get me much past half-way.. i was crying in those days. don't want them to come back. it was the days of 4.75 a gallon.

i just hope to see 2.99 before the fall is gone. i would dance in the streets (if i wasn't worried about getting hit)

I think you're gonna be dancing in the streets, rpm - gas has fallen below the $3-threshold, as I found some today for $2.97 at somewhere between 10-11 gallons costing me a total of $31.46.

$1.81c(NZD) per litre. Great when we use our supermarket vouchers if spending over $20 worth of groceries gives 4c off per litre using up to 150 litres at one time.

I saw this couple with a great Idea. They backed up both their cars equi distant from the pump and used the voucer for both cars on the one purchase. Very smart and cost efficient.

That's a question I've had myself. If oil is down by 50% for a barrel, then why isn't gas down a similar amount?

Hey man!

I believe that since oil is traded worldwide in U.S. Dollars it makes gas cheaper for Americans....maybe that is the only good thing about being an American these days lol amid the economic turmoil going on

Damn! I wish that were the case all over. OPEC is cutting production in hopes of stopping the fall of oil prices. Look for a new "Oil Crisis" like we had in the '70's. We were all told that the world was running out of oil so, prices shot up. Turned out that production was cut to inflate prices and it hasn't stopped in 30 years. I was working at a gas station when that shit happened. I was the guy that pumped your gas and washed your windshield. (remember that?)

Paid $2.29 a couple of days ago. To give some perspective, I had to make a 400 mile drive shortly after Hurricane Katrina and had to stop for gas to find that it was $2.77 and I was disgusted with the "gougers".

In the middle of the Summer, my boss gave me a raise to cover my additional fuel costs. Right now, I'm making out like a bandit but I expect that to change in less than 6 months.

I recall my disgust at having to pay a buck a gallon in 1978 and further disgust at $2.77 around Labor Day of '05.

I'm guessing that it probably won't last but found it difficult to resist doing a "Rocky"-Dance at the pump tonight.

Of course the prices are going to go up again. We got a break when everybody was screaming about the economy tanking. But,we've had a few months to adjust and summer is here. This is the usual time to raise oil prices. The greedy bastards know this and it's all part of their "recovery plan". Look for another big spike in the fall, as people start to buy their heating oil for the upcoming winter.

Other prices haven't come down. So, it still costs the same for the "rich" to live the extravagant life styles they've become accustomed to. Think about it. Every wealthy person has a sizable chunk of oil stock in their portfolio. It drives the world and those that play in it.

i.e. "my xyz corp. stock isn't doing so well (they make construction supplies), but people are still driving and need to fuel various things in their lives, and most things manufactured today are derived from crude oil. So, my oil stocks will fund the operation of my leisure activities."

Paid $2.69 yesterday and today (two cars); this was at a station that sells only 100% gasoline. All the other stations are selling gas that is 10% ethanol - at the same price or higher.

Just to let you know, I tried the ethanol and I went from 400 miles on a tank to less than 300 miles.

Currently $1.21 a litre in Australia. So almost $5 a gallon in American terms. Our gross income is higher than the US but everything costs alot more over here. Our grocery shopping is ridculious, more competition is definately needed. Have paid upto $1.70 a litre before around 2 years ago

$2.69/gallon. The upside is that it was 100% gasoline - no added ethanol. The ethanol is killing my mileage; from 40 mpg to less than 30.
