It takes close to 5 minutes to prepare, not just merely pour, a good pint of Guinness.

Tom Brady can fly. He just chooses not to.

The fight between Jackie Chan and Benny Urquidez in the movie Wheels on Meals is one of the greatest fight scenes ever filmed.

Adelheid Bernstein, a boss character from the King of Fighters series of video games, is pictured here on the left with sister Rose to the right...

 -

What a lot of folks don't know is that both of the Bernstein children are girls. There's no apparent reason for Adelheid's androgenous look, but I think it could be debated that their father Rugal Bernstein, pictured here...

 -

...might have hoped for a son to be his successor, and so raised Adelheid as a boy.

Useless trivia...gotta love it! [Big Grin]

And on that note, some more useless info for you.

A rumor circulated for years that the character Poison, originally from the Final Fight series...was a MAN! Well, a transvestite to be more exact. [Eek!]

Have no fear...it was nothing but a baseless rumor. You see, back in the day, Nintendo had a some very strict policies in effect when it came to the subject matter of their games; naturally violence against women was a major no-no. As you can see here, Cody is giving Poison the ol' one-two punch in an uncensored version...

 -

Poison's sex was "altered" for the stateside release of the game on the Super Nintendo, as you can see here in the far right image...

 -

So I guess by those old standards, it was bad to beat the crap out of women, but it was perfectly okay to pummel those with an "alternative lifestyle". I wonder if Nintendo ever caught flack for "inciting" violence toward gay people? [Roll Eyes] [Laugh]

Anyways, nope, Poison is as much a girl as video game characters can get. Here she is in her latest video game appearance (as far as I know) SNK vs Capcom -Chaos with great big Andore (or was it Hugo?) right behind her...

 -

So there you have it folks...more useless trivia. I'm great at parties, let me tell you! [Laugh]

Hugo is WAAAAAAAAAAAAY to big! it's like fighting Juggernaut in Marvel Vs Capcom 2. More of an SNK and Tekken guy myself but I don't play games that much anymore because of me focusing on music. Speaking of which, time to add my pointless facts:

A Tetrachord is the first four notes of a scale.

The Altered Chord can also be known as the "Dimished Whole-tone Scale" due to the fact that the first "tetrachord" is half-whole diminshed scale and the second tetrachord is the whole-tone scale.

The Miles Davis album "Kind of Blue" was the best selling Jazz album of all time until just recently it was outsold by a Chris Botti album (jerkoff).

Dave Brubeck claims to have the first interracial band back during his time in the US Navy (someone find those dates for me).

Duke Ellington was able to keep his Jazz Orchestra going from the 1930s up until his death in the 1970s because even when the band wasn't making money, he payed his band members out of pocket.

The Duke Ellington/Billy Strayhorn tune "Harlem Airshaft" was written when Duke lived in an apartment building in Harlem and could hear everything his neighbors were doing through an airshaft.

When Paul Desmond interviewed Charlie Parker about how he was able to play the way he did, Parker revealed that he practiced 15 hours a day!

Arturo Sandoval and Paquito D'Rivera both got their starts in Cuba playing for Irakere lead by Chucho Valdes in the 1970s. Since that time, both have lead extraordinary careers most noteably, Arturo Sandoval holding the world record for being able to play the high C on the piano on his trumpet... and playing with Justin Timberlake at the Grammys.

Stan Getz is the most underrated Tenor Sax player ever!

Ok I think I've listed enough...

Here's some more random trivia!

Ralf and Clark from King of Fighters are among the oldest individual characters in the whole SNK fighting game pantheon of characters. They made their first appearance in Ikari Warriors in 1986, which was basically SNK's answer to Contra. IW was actually very innovative for it's day, with joysticks that could be rotated so your character could shout in a complete 360 degree range of motion while still moving forward. A very underrated arcade classic. The other character who holds the oldest distinction with the men of Ikari is Athena, the Psycho Soldier, who was in a game called Princess Athena that came out in the same year. Kensou made his debut in PA's sequal, Psycho Soldiers, the next year.

So for all you KOF fans, buffs, and afficionados like myself and Lou, keep that in mind whenever you start to think that KOF started with the characters from Fatal Fury and Art of Fighting.

I wrote those numbers down on my binder in elementary school so I could go home and fight Mike Tyson in Mike Tyson's Punch Out. I think now, when you type that in, Mike Tyson gets out of jail free or something.

 -

After Mike Tyson lost the best to Buster Douglas, they rereleased the game as just "Punch Out" and replaced Mike Tyson with Mr. Dream.

P.S. I read that Little Mac is going to be in the new Super Smash Brother's for the Wii.

You're absolutely right Bro...Ralf, Clark, Athena, and to a lesser degree Kensou outdate practically all other characters in the King of Fighters series. Of these characters, Athena has probably gone through the most changes in appearance.

Here is Athena's original look...
 -
Not much for the eyes is she?

Now here is Athena's appearance in most of the KOF games, usually with minor alterations in her costume from year to year...
 -
Now that's more like it! [Mmm]

Here's Athena in your usual Japanese schoolgirl uniform, and incidentally how she appears in KOF XI...
 -
Still lookin' cute enough...no gripes here...

And, interestingly, SNK Playmore have decided to backtrack and have Athena look the way she originally did for their latest game Neo Geo Battle Colliseum...
 -
(from left to right Hotaru, Nakoruru, Athena, and Akari)

Hope you've enjoyed this "evolution of Athena"! [Big Grin]

Next time you shop for Minor Hardware (eg. screws, fittings, bolts.....etc), Small Electronic Equipment (eg. Connectors, adaptors, plugs...etc). [Eek!] Make sure you take a pen and write the "Item Code" on your hand (or store it on your cell) if it's not marked on the product.... Makes it a hell of alot easier when your at the check-out so they don't have to look through a booklet, or call someone from that department for the item code.... You'll be out of there in no time [Smile]

* Sir Edmund Hillary (A Very Famous New Zealander) died yesterday. He and a partner were the first to successfully Conquer MT EVEREST, the highest mountain in the world in 1953....

* His face along with the mountain in the backround are printed on the NZ $5 bill.

* Higest point is just over 8.8km (8,848m) above sea level. That's about 20 Empire State Buildings end on end... (Acording to my calculations [Big Grin] )

Next time you take a dump (go for a shit, go for a crap...etc ... whateva suits your country) in someone elses toilet (crowded house, girlfriends parents house, toilet that is close to a crowded bar/night club.....etc) and your embarressed of the smell it will leave...

....move back a lil' on the seat so your butt is covering the whole back hole of the toilet. Now there will be just a gap between your dick and the front of the seat, scrunch up a loose ball of toilet paper and plug this gap, it decreases the smell by at least 30%. Flush before you wipe, and then flush again to get rid of your shit paper... voila... less smell [Wink]

Note: this may not work for very skinny people [Big Grin]

here's something interesting...Noah Webster, the man who made the dictionary because at the time American had such atrocious grammar (including John Adams' wife, who spelled judged "judg" in a letter to him) and when some words like 'Colour' were put in there, Noah decided to get rid of the u in some of those words to represent America's independence from Britain.

Speaking of American independence from Britain, that's why U.S. race tracks - both motor & horse - run to the left (counter-clockwise), British horse-races were run clockwise.

Don't mean to post back-to-back but here's one for the guitar players seeking to improve:

The weakest finger on your hand (most believe it to be the fourth) is actually the third (or ring-finger). The strongest is your middle finger - y'know, the one commonly extended to express displeasure. To demonstrate this, put your hand flat on a table (try your fretting hand to really bring this home) and raise each finger individually. Notice which one is the most difficult to raise?

Briefly, this is because the 2nd & 3rd fingers share a tendon, making one finger very strong while the weak sister suffers.

So what does this have to do with the guitar?
The great guitar sages recommend that when forming a chord, the player should seek to put the 3rd finger down first; the other stronger, more agile, fingers will find their way to their respective positions easily.

The first few attempts at this may be a struggle; don't give up! Believe me, you are forming a very good habit and the improvement will be rapid. Moving from one chord to the next will be a breeze in a very short time.

There are other implications for soloing but you'll be able to figure it out.

Hope this helps.
