when i'm not shooting pics of folks.. i tend to shoot pics of feet or heels... or random places.

so... being it doesn't fit anywhere on the forum, i'll start posting my pics here instead of taking up space on the parts of the forum.

enjoy

RPM

this one, i'm just horsing around

more of the same, digital effects..

i particularly liked this one!

by the way, i've got no problem with folks posting their own creative pics on my thread either.....

Hmmmmm very interesting RPM and a great idea for a thread. I'll chuck some of the odd muck-around pics I've been taking around too [Thumbs Up]

Saw this sunrise one morning and had to get outta my car into the cold and get into an awkward position to get this one of many shots...

 -

Not too far from where I was saw the reflection in the previous nights rain puddles...

 -

Was driving and couldn't really stop but pulled over to the side and took a few of this sunset...

Here's some of my contributions shot from different things around where I live in Texas. If you were expecting open prairies, wagon wheels and cow skulls your are in for a shock!

Ok, here is a stereotypical thing you would expect to see in Texas. We do have a buffalo range not too far from where I live.

Again RPM- I know I am right! lol I have nothing creative to say cause - well I am not very creative but... those pink shoes look like a bitch to walk in. I am positive I would have twisted my ankle before your camera started taking pics! lol

Hey L.D, buffalos roaming..... do you have deers and antilopes playing [Big Grin] .... j/k [Tongue] Excellent pics.... [Thumbs Up] Is there some sorta special history behind those ascending stone steps?

RPM what brand and style are those pink shoes?

Hey Cain I want those pics of yours framed and on my wall..... COOOOOOOOL [Cool]

I do what I can with my cheap standard kodak... I GOTTA upgrade to a Nikon one day [Smile]

Posted by RPM (Member # 2895) on :

i upgraded to Canon. but i hear that Nikon is really good too. I don't care the brand. just give me an honest good pic!

I will have to ask my pal about her heels. i think she once told me, I almost want to say Bakers, but i"m not sure. I know this, she's had them for years and years. loves them. only wears them for special occasions (or photoshoots). they're 4 inch tall by the way, but looks more.

Footgirl, as long as you're not planning on walking for miles and miles, they're ok. she's fine with them as long as she's not walking long distances. and in heels like those, one shouldn't have to, nor be asked to walk far. valet parking anyone?

Cain.. love the pics! I need those framed too.. and I was thinking of taking such pics a few times.. one of those buildings caught my eye, but i was on a time crunch driving.. so.. you have the full un-contested honors here!!

RPM

a few more from the catergory of heels.. and the likes.. and other pics.....

the scene of a shoot I once did
 -

another scent from another shoot I did. this was a test shot
 -

initially, my lense was acting up. but in the end, i liked the shot. the lense is relatively fixed.. for the most part. it was an electrical component that made the effect, not a dirty lense.
 -

Footgirl, this is for you. it's not the quality of the pic, just the heel. i was testing for a potential shoot.. had to make sure the gal could wear the heels. she could, but didn't want to do a shoot in them. forgive the lack of match in color. it was only a test to see if the shoe fit
 -

I wouldn't do my name honor without posting this pic

RPM, is that your Vette? Watch out your wife may have you trade it in for a more economical 2 cylinder hybrid car soon! [Laugh] -

That lake looks beautiful Cain. Makes me want to hang up a hammock and take a snooze out there.

Yeah its called Lake Wallenpaupack in the Poconos. Its so peaceful there. My wife and i have been there five times and have had our Honeymoon there. Its a great escape like there are no problems in the world.

nope.. that is not my vette. i had a friend step next to it and model.. but in this shot, it's just the vette.

ok. a few more pics.. these are of my wife from the set posted in the pic area.. but i'm posting them here because they focus more on the shoe, not her feet.

Hey i am always looking for some great shots to compare RPM so post away. I wish i had money or the time to start up a little photography side gig myself. Especially if it consisted of foot models and/or lanscape pics.

Out walking the strip in Las Vegas. I love the Harley shop and this giant bike that protrudes out from the building.

A photo of the New York New York, and the Boardwalk Casino, on the opposite side of the street, down by four corners.

Spokane. The downtown is connected to the hotel zone where I stayed, by a large, rambling, hilly park with lakes, ponds, even a mini amusement park. They have concerts, festivals, etc. When you're in the heart of it, you'd hardly know you were in the middle of the city.

Great photographs, and I really like the very idea of this thread. It has become one of my favorites and so far every contributing post in here has been outstanding.

Cool stuff folks and this thread is certainly a break from the norm. I'll have to ask my bud if he'd let me post a shot or two of his. He's a scenes and things shooter.

Very interesting. Nice to have some visuals of the things that interest the members beside the passion we hold in common.

Pretty cool pics RPM i am going to try and post some of mine from my Cancun trip later today or as soon as i can that wren't of my wife's feet lol.

Here's some pics i've taken over the past year with my camera. Alot of the pics i take are from rides i take around here, and some on highways during trips i've taken.

Snowy pics first since they the last i've uploaded and show first in my photobucket.

This ones taken out of my passenger side window (note the water drops on the window)
 -

Wish i could have had more clarity on this one, but the little black spots are crows in these completely snow covered trees. I thought it was a really cool contrast to the white, if the pic shows in its original size you may be able to tell their birds.
 -

I love landscape photos and things from above looking down, so this with the snow was amazing to me. It's also off one side of a lake near where i live and frequent through bad weather and shine. More pics in good weather of the lake coming after this post.
 -

This has to be one of my all time favorites. The orange of the leaves that just wouldn't come off of this tree was really cool to see under all the white/ice coating the trees and surrounding shrubbery.
 -

Have a few more to post here later, but gotta run for now.

Bootman, those are fantastic photographs! The effects of ice and white on the second one make it look almost as if it's an infra-red photo of normal trees. Fantastic, thank you for sharing these.

Thanks ben! Here's a few more...

 -

Over looking rosevalley near the lake...
 -

Same pic from a better standpoint.
 -

And some of my all time favorite types of pics which i have not enough of... A sunrise along route 180 heading towards Lewisburg on my way to my home town, York,pa.

You've got that right! The snow photographs are great and the last one, the red sky is fantastic.

Here's some from the lake area without the snow and ice. I prefer snow shots myself! But here's some more pics.

 -

I was too lazy to step outside and take this shot, hence the inspection stickers and such in the bottom left.

A bad ass old huge house that's located near the lake.

same house from the side

Love the pics Bootman. I haven't seen winter weather like that in Texas since the late 70s or early 80s when I was a kid. I feel like I'm really missing something here since just last Friday I was walking around in t-shirt and shorts.

Posted by Bootman (Member # 1280) on :

Thanks LaDaemon. I kind of enjoy the changing of the weather, and unlike most people i'm rarely bothered by driving in inclement weather conditions. I can drive a car through over 6 inches of unplowed snow and not really stress. There are exceptions, and i Effing hate ice. But mainly, i get nervous of other drivers. But living in PA and the region its in is nice, since we have all four seasons. For photography purposes, i love the fall and winter. I hate the cold. I've got a slue of pics left on my hard drive, i'll upload them soon and post more.
