I watched "Penn and Teller: Bullshit!" on circumcision. I've never thought about getting it and that just confirmed my feelings on it. - for one you're cutting a good few 10s of thousands of nerve endings off.
I'd watch the Penn and Teller before you decide - perhaps that's an odd thing to say, but I'll just warn you it's weighted on the side of not getting it done.

we had our son circumsized at about....i wanna say 5 months old. that is kinda old now adays.we had to wait because a he was very premature and b he was anemic for a long time. he has not had any issues but i definatly wouldn't have waited until he was any older. at least he wont remember it.

I was circumcised right out of the gate so I don't know the difference. My father was circumcised at 13 years (the nurse who changed his bandages was his aunt - a little insult to go along with the injury). Dad assured me that I'm not missing a thing.
Apart from the aesthetics of it, there is a hygiene issue that certainly concerns a lot of women. There's nothing good to say about smegma.

I was cut as an infant. Luckily I don't remember it. My father-in-law had it done when he was in his 30's (medical reasons?). It somehow got screwed up and developed scar tissue making an erection painful. If I hadn't had it done at birth, I sure as shit wouldn't take the chance later in life!

Was cut as a baby and we're not Jewish. I didn't even know this was something that wasn't natural until I was older in my teens and probably saw a magazine with an uncut hillbilly in a porno spread. Come to think of it I never saw any other guys in a locker room growing up as a kid that wasn't trimmed either.
Its pretty common here in the US to have it done to boys as babies. Personally I wouldn't do the cock mutilation if I didn't have it done before either.

I think why America had done it was mainly due to medical beliefs and I don't think religious in nature.

The cut or non-cut debate is one of those perpetually annoying and meaningless debates. I'm cut and am 100% happy and secure with the amount of "nerve endings" I have and the pleasure I get. I'll bet if I was uncut then I'd also be 100% happy and secure with the amount of "nerve endings" I have and the pleasure I get. The problem with Pen & Teller's episode is that they don't really cover the medical reasons for a person to get circumcised. There are skin conditions that cause skin to lose its elasticity, so think about pulling back your skin and having it tear. I've ripped my banjo string (the skin that connects to foreskin to the shaft) during sex and it was painful. Took a while to heal too.
A friend of mine in high school had to have and emergency circumcision done at 16 and he wasn't in school for a while. They are medical reasons for having it done, however, if you regularly pull that skin back it can be trained. Also, I've kept the fact that I was uncut hidden from chicks. It's really not that hard to hide, pull back the skin, done.

^^ I did a project on it back in high school, its FGM(Female Genital Mutilation). It was a "religious" act, many ways to do it. One of which would be to sew the vagina shut so that it would ensure virginity at time of marriage, if the stitches were found to be torn apart on the night of marriage then the woman would more then likely be killed.

When you are circumcised the head beings dry, skin toughens, you become numb, also you do not get the gliding action in sex where the skin rolls back and forth over the sensitive head.
