Things don't always go as planned with shoots, but sometimes they turn out better or with a nice unexpected aspect. That's what happened with this dirty sole set of Kaycee.
We shot this set the first time she went out to do photos with me. The first set we did was out on a long boardwalk/pier and man was it hot! After the set we went back to the car to cool off and ponder doing the second set. Next to the parking lot we were parked in is an old historic tavern. It didn't look like anyone was there, so we decided to use the porch for a second set. We'd be in the shade, so hopefully it wouldn't be too bad.
As we were walking up onto the porch I looked down and saw that Kaycee had walked from the car barefoot. I was like, "Oh no. Your feet are going to be all dirty now. We'll have to clean them up first."
I wasn't intended on doing a dirty feet set for one of her first ones, but when she lifted her soles up for me to see, they were filthy! I told her, "You know what? Keep them that way. There are guys into that. I bet someone will even say they want to lick them clean if I post a photo of them this way on the site's Instagram page (@SolesofSilk) before the end of this set."
I was right.
Kaycee got a chuckle out of that notion, but admitted she loved the way the set looked and turned out. I agreed with her 100 percent.
