Near the end of a long day of scouring the beach for soles, I ran across Hollywood "scene girl" Jacklyn who had also been out all day.

She agreed to pull off a shoe, much to the tremendous delight of foot lovers around the world:)

I have experienced this myself with regard to shoe dangling. Every girl I've ever worked with is more than willing to slip her shoe almost all the way off and dangle it in midair so that it's just barely hanging from the tips of her toes. But heaven forbid the shoe falls off her foot and drops to the ground -- suddenly she gets all self-conscious, "Don't take a picture, my toes are messed up!" and she quickly grabs the shoe and puts it back on.
