But she didn't seem to care -- she sat there, drinking her iced coffee, smoking a cigarette, and chatting on her cellphone. Occasionally she would look down at me, wriggling her feet a little, then smirking as she talked, which suggested to me that she was telling her friend about my photography.
She looked like a tough, no-nonsense girl, all dressed in black with her big boots and her very even temper. But at the same time there was a soft, feminine, vulnerable side to her, with her sensitive bare soles exposed, her adorable little face, and wisps of hair falling down. Her feet smelled a bit like corn chips because she had been wearing those big boots with socks, and her feet glistened with sweat, which I don't usually like, but her toes were so plump and her soles so shapely it didn't bother me a bit!
