This funky little Japanese girl was about as close to hipster as you can get in Japan without being completely anti-social! Lots of ear piercings, Cleopatra eye makeup, really hip duds. She came onto the lawn with a friend and loads of boutique shopping bags, took her short black boots off, unzipped the cuffs of her mod black pants, and put her poor tired tootsies up, tender and shapely. Eventually she stuck those sensitive darlings out in the way I like and I went over and sat superclose so I could shoot under the seat back. Her friend saw immediately, told her, and she took a look for herself. She shot peeks at me now and then, but she seemed to be more chuckling about it than anything else. She wriggled her feet, wiggled her plump delicious toes, and put her feet side by side and flexed them, for over 15 minutes.
This is some of the most exciting sole exposure I've ever caught, gorgeous soft little size 6 feet.

Damn, RBS. I've shot tons of candids of young Japanese students in college, but the few times you release some foot-age of Japanese women, you always top me. I guess it's a NYC thing where women put their feet up on chairs, and you can get there soles and face in the same shot. I wish I can surpass you.

I don't think it's just a NYC thing--there are some other large public parks in the world where there are lawn chair made available -- like in Paris, where I've also seen some nice candid face and sole. The face and soles is just there, you just have to be cool about shooting the vid, which is easier said than done....

I don't know, man. She doesn't loom like a "hipster" to me.
In fact being a "hipster" isn't a very big thing in Japan. I see more of the hip-hop style (with the younger crowd) than anything.
To me, she just looks like the run-of-the-mill J-girls I see, everyday.

I guess it depends on what demographic you hang out with. I am guessing you're a younger guy and probably your demographic leans hipster. I spend my days with Japanese women, both Japanese Americans and from Japan, and none of them have multiple piercings or wear intense mascara like this gal. That is why I referred to her as a hipster Japanese girl rather than just as a Japanese girl.
