Just as the topic says, I finally bought a PS4 this last weekend (03/16). I bought it that night, and spent a couple of hours connecting it to my home theater, updating the system, configuring it, and finally upgrading my PS3 COD: Ghosts to the digital PS4 version. I had to download again all of my in game purchases and of course the game itself.
I had the next day off work and wanted it to be ready for me to take full advantage of it and just play the day away.
I like the new interface, and ease of use it provides to access all of your content. I also like the Playstation store look and ease of use as well. The only thing I did not like was all of the sharing options it provided. I am not a huge fan of sharing so much online, and with social media....so I switched off all of the sharing options. I simply want to play online and that is all. I know this is one of the PS4's selling points, but it's simply of no use to me.
Now, playing Ghosts was very cool. The upgraded graphics are impressive and look amazing. There are more textures to the maps, and looking down the scopes on your weapons is amazing to see, esp. the thermal scope. Everything just looks more sharp, clear and crisp. I am very impressed with the graphics and speed of it all.
I think the only minus so far is lack of content from the Playstation store. I know more will become available over the next year, but I was hoping for more customizable features from the store.
Anyways....those are my initial thoughts so far. I do hope they upgrade some PS3 games to PS4 versions such as Mortal Kombat, and Resident Evil 5 and 6. I was happy to see that Injustice is also available on the PS4 network.

I will probably wait until Black Ops 3 comes out before I get a PS4. I was strictly Xbox until I pulled my head out of my ass and realized that paying $60 a year was bullshit. It's gonna hurt not having Halo 5 though.

I hear what you are saying, but so you have all the info....Sony is now requiring customers to buy their Playstation Plus membership to play online content. For the PS3 users, online play has always been free to use...with the PS4, that is no longer the case. For a year of Playstation Plus it's $49.99. On the PS3, being a plus member gives you quite a few perks like game discounts, and some other free content that non-members do not receive.
I knew going into my PS4 that I was going to have to pay to play...but at about $4 a month for online play, I do not mind.

I had no problem paying for the Playstation Plus membership. There are free games like mad to download and discounts that are forever changing on other games.
