Picked this up from the bargain bin for $19. A friend of mine suggested it to me and says that it's the best game he's ever played. He's been hinting me to play it for sometime now but have never gotten around to it until now, gave it a few hours of my time and so far I'm quite impressed. The map seems massive but I guess I will see during the process of my ventures through the game. Not too familiar with 'The Elder Scrolls' series so not too sure what to expect not playing any of its predecessors will it affect my enjoyment of the game.

Chose the race 'Kajiit' cos he (they) look cool, reminds me of the 'Thunder Cats'. Just slayed (supprised 'slayed' is not a word...... Anyway) my first Dragon and I thought 'cool' bringing down a beast 20+ times my size and absorbed some sort of power from it a 'voice' whatever that is. About to go to visit some people who are supposed to help me out in discovering this new found ability. Been running around most of the time so now gotta look to buy me a horse [Smile]

Since I was just only gonna trial the game, I was a few hours in and now liking the game want to change my name which you cannot do (did a basic Google) unless you're in the pc version. So- now I'm stuck with 'Prisoner', too far to go back and start again because of........ "meh" I'm not too worried [Smile]

I bought it for my PS3 on the cheap too. Just haven't gotten to it yet since I've been finishing up other games.

Yeah. I got it on PS3. Graphical errors here and there. Guess they rushed it through the conversion process but so far haven't come across any gameplay bugs (touch wood) I'm feeling more of a bad ass now slaying dragons solo becoming more confident in confronting them yet I'm still weary of the frost trolls, hope to kill me one once my skill level is sufficient.

Found a glitch. Had to escort an old dude to a town (Riverwood). Tried to take a shortcut along a rocky side of the river but he wouldn't follow me after a certain section which seemed too steep. I thought ok, I'll take him back and go the long way...... He still wouldn't follow which ment this mutherfucker was stuck Grrrr [Big Grin] . Ok I try to walk into him to push the character in the river to hopefully free him up to swim to the other side. Then? He fell into the river and started floating downstream in a standing upright position went into a rock and magically teleported on top of it. Errrrrr ok... I had enough and used my Dragon sneeze which sent him far off the rocks. Yep that freed him up. Got the mission accomplished but this wasted 20mins of gameplay.

FUCK!!! Advice? Save often! Was clearing a cave of pests and the S.O.B froze on me. Just lucky I saved it at the entrance or I would've lost about 2hrs of gameplay but this time was only 10mins. From now if you can get it on a different platform whether it be Xbox360 or PC, get that. (I'm bias, Xbox sucks [Tongue] )

I read that originally Skyrim had some glitches on the PS3, but patches fixed most of it.

Highly addictive. This is why I'm persevering through these problems. This game has made it into my top10 list of my best games. Possibly a top5. Pat, just give it 3hrs of your time, this should be sufficient to hook you in [Big Grin] . What about you Pitt? You've played this on another platform?

Yeah, I have to play it. I just know I'll get hooked on it and it'll kill all of my time - which I don't have a lot of right now. I just finished Batman Arkham Origin & the Cold, Cold Night DLC for it. Also went back and grabbed the DLC for Arkham City too (Harley Quinn one).

I picked up a number of other games on the cheap that I haven't played yet either, including: Shadow of Mordor (PS4), South Park Stick of Truth (PS3), Darksiders 2 (PS3), Velvet Assassian (360), Blades of Time (360), X Blades (360), Folklore (PS3), Heavenly Sword (PS3), and even further back I grabbed all the Assassian Creed games on 360, all the Metroid Prime games for Wii, Last Story (Wii), Resident Evil Revelations (PS3) - and oh yeah, I just got Revelations 2 for PS4. Yeah, I buy things in bulk when I find good prices

Meanwhile, I'm going through the Jaws of Hakor DLC for Dragon Age Inquisition now.

Funny that, buy the time you get around to playing them, the prices would probably be less than what you paid for [Big Grin] Wouldn't be suprised if you've still got PS1 and/or PS2 games you still need to play hehe [Tongue] . Judging by the games you've just added to your collection, just these games alone would be about 6mths of play worth for me [Thud]

You remind me of a friend of mine who has 10,000+ movies , games (PC) and TV series which constantly grow, yet he hardly plays or watches them.

FootLong,

A lot of the games I've gotten recently, asides from some of the PS4 games, have been for cheap prices - like between $5-15. Hell, a couple of those games on that list I got for less than $5 - one of which was $1.50. LOL

Oh great. Speaking of patches, I played God of War: Ghost of Sparta to finally finish up the PSP God of War Collection games that were ported to PS3. Loved it. From there I decided to play God of War Ascension. Well, I had to install 9 updates before I could play and I think the smallest of the bunch was 220MB and the largest was over 800MB. I'm guessing the recreated the entire game and used patches to install it on your machine instead? Seriously, that's a lot of freaking MBs.

A couple glitches have worked to my benefit. Faced a chaurus reaper which is some sorta acid spitting land serpent which is tough to kill, tried to close a door to separate us but he got stuck with the door fully shut with half of its body on either side unable to advance or retreat. I just picked him off with a bow.

Same with a boss which miraculously wedged himself between a door and a cave wall. He was in a running motion but didn't advance. Picked him off with a bow too [Big Grin]

This game is pretty awesome and has grown on me. There's a shit-load to do to keep you goin for ages excluding upgrades which is a whole thing in itself. Gotten 3 others to try it and all like it. A must pick up if you enjoy action/adventure games. [Thumbs Up]

Yeah I know what you mean about the mod community. I've seen some walk through vids via YouTube when I was looking for help and tips. I've seen added characters, scaling, 3D mods just to name a few. I'm only on console (PS3) so I guess I'm limited on what I can run compared to the powerhouse graphics and ram PC's. But for $19?, now this is what I call value [Big Grin] .

Played Bethesdaīs games ever since their game Daggerfall and have always liked that company for their ideas on how a game should be like. Skyrim is sort of the pinnacle of their creations and i am playing it right now in fact.
It isnt without some flaws, but hey, itīs a HUGE game wich theyīve put a lot of thought and time into.
Tell me of any game of this magnitude that doesnt have a couple of bugs in it, right, there arent any.

Thereīs some quests that are bugged, but itīs a few percentage of them, not a biggie. Youīll solve them with some look on Youtube how to get through them anyway.
The hireling, your AI comrade in arms can sometimes not be around when you want them to, and also not withdraw from unwanted fights wich you want to stop.
But you can equip them with all sorts of armor, weapons and i think they, but just once in awhile, use potions.
It is a huge and massive game with a lot of atmosphere and thought going into building up a "realistic"(?) fantasy world of its own.
Itīs impressive, a lot of fun if you can dig what theyīve done with it.
But to get a flow going in controlling your hero can take some time getting into. To be able to choose just the right action to do in combat fast and efficiently. But when you do get the hang of it itīs a real joy to play. Nothing like seeing one of your power attacks unfold wich kills your opponent in cinematic and slow motion. Your lethal arrow flying through the air and hitting your target who bites the dust.
Awesome game, a 5 out of 5 rating from me.

That made me chuckle [Big Grin] "dragon sneeze"?
I think i know wich shout you mean, yeah, just cant remember itīs name now hehe. [Smile]

Edit: Btw, i play this on my Xbox 360 anyway. Would like to see what the modding community have done with this game.
I fondly remember all of the stuff that people did for Simcity4, all of those cool lots and addons made the game several notches better.
