Cirith Ungol, from USA Ventura, California.

Veeeery interesting and very cool. To me at least.
They used The D&D, Dungeons & Dragons theme for this songs album cover and the song is just so good with this old dice role playing game as the albums pic wich was popular in the 1980īs i believe.
I remember it now because they played it in the movie E.T wich was so lovely and good.
"E.T phone home" and "Be gooood" cute quotes, lovely alien.
Anyway this is the song from the metal band wich i think was underrated, so many use that word for bands, but this one was off most peoples radars i think.
Not so big right? Here in Sweden even more then the states i believe.

P.S
Cirith Ungol was a watchtower in the LOTR books, Lord Of The Rings.

"Groovy" (Bruce Campbell, Evil Dead movie quote and Duke Nukem).

I have mp3s of their first three albums. I loved the Frazzeta cover art, but I don't think their music was that great. I remember always seeing ads for their albums back in the 80s in the Metal Music magazines I used to read back in college.

An underated band from that time period I liked was Trouble from Aurora, Illinois. They made doom metal a bit in the style of Black Sabbath. They had an album called "Run to the Light" which was heavy, but people identified it as a Christian metal band which they really weren't.

Production was pretty raw on their early stuff.

I also loved Candlemass from around that same time. They may have been big in Sweden, but pretty much unknown here in the States.

Tony Martin era Black Sabbath!

Tony is so unfairly maligned by many Sabbath fans but you definitely do find some hidden gems once you get into his era's material.

This dig aimed at Sharon Osbourne being a prime cut of later Sabbath
