I know this has been a hotly discussed topic here, so sorry for being redundant, but the other day I heard a story that made me think of this subject and I had to share.
I was hanging out with a couple of girls at a bar the other night, when one of them suddenly said that she thinks her 4 year old son has already developed a foot fetish. This subject came out of nowhere. She said that it started with him putting her feet to his face and wanting to "cuddle with them" She didn't think much of it at first, however, he began to do that on a more consistant basis. She would ask him to come up next to her, but he would say he wanted to cuddle her feet. She went on to tell us that the other day she was looking at a magazine when he stopped her at a picture of a woman with her bare feet showing and said stop, I want to see her feet. She then began to ask him if which he liked better, feet or icecream....he responded "feet". Then it was television or feet...again "feet". This went on for a while with only a certain toy winning against feet. She's seriously worried that she is going to get a call from daycare one day regarding this new found facination. Unfortunately, really no one knows my thing for feet outside of a couple of ex girlfriends and my current girlfriend, so I didn't say a much.
Now I asked her if this were true and she said yes, this all has really happened. So it made me realize that a lot of our likes must be formed at an extremely young age. Most of us probably were born with this eventual facination with the female foot. Some start much earlier than others I guess. Let me know what you guys think.

From my earliest sexual memories feet have always been there. My mum jokes how i would kiss and hug her feet as a child( she knows nothing of my fetish)
I think its fairly common knowledge that sexual preferences and in particular fetishes develop at an early age. I dont think we are born with it, but early exposure at an impressionable age can make it happen

I didn't have a foot fetish until I was about 19. I think I was the only one who was in the 18 and over section that voted on the poll of when you knew you had a foot fetish. And I didn't even kind of have a fetish. Not even close. There was nothing there. I don't even know if I had heard of foot fetish. But then it happened so fast. It was as simple as seeing a girl on girl foot worship scene in a porno. I was blown away. About the same time I first saw Dusk Till Dawn. (I love you Salma) It is like I had never looked at a girl's foot before! I can't explain it. But I am happy now. Life began at 19.

I think most of us would love to know the definitive answer as to what thing(s) caused our fetish, simply because it's such a strong influence in our lives. It seems that fetishes in general are slowly becoming more widely accepted as more people become aware of it, largely due to the internet. Consequently though, this may mean that fetish behaviour will not be studied as deeply in the future, because it's no longer considered "abnormal." Kind of a mixed blessing.
The internet has been a saviour for many of us as we discover that we're not alone.

I would you tend to think that its not something that you are born with. Rather something that develops for several reasons. The main one that i can think of from an early age, Where do you spend most of your time! On the floor crawling around ! And of thats where feet are!! so for the main part your only really seeing your mums feet etc. And other peoples aswell.And that where i think the assocaiation Begins. Obviously you develop a strong bond with your mother, And For most part your only really seeing her feet..And thats how i believe it all started. !!!

I hear ya, buddy! I had my foot fetish for many years before Salma popped onto the scene, but she's still certainly done her part to help perpetuate it. Salma may be a versatile actress, but she'll always be Santanico Pandemonium to me!

My first physical experiance with girlfeet was when I was about 4. My babysitter would have me tickle her feet when she was babysitting me. The interesting thing about it is that she wore pantyhose. Now its 30 years later but I hate pantyhose. If a cute girls feet aren't bare or naked inside sandals I'm irritated...Seriously!
So the question for me is...Did I like girlfeet anyway or did my babysitter start it for me?
I also knew my wife when we were 3-6 and I can remember looking at her barefeet while we played. Now I get her barefeet every day and my fetish is much stronger.
I was never even remotely into my moms feet....yuck! No insestual thought in my memory...Thank God!
So I guess I don't really have a theory about the origins of foot fetish in my life, just a bunch of interesting and I might add, hot, foot memories over the years.

Wondering how, why, or when our foot fetish started is a silly question. Thats like asking some one why they think the sky is beautiful. Is it not obvious? Rather I would look at someone who doesnt like the sky or feet and say " FREAK!"

i remember being about 4-5 yrs old, and used to go and play under the big dinner table with all the other kids after eating. i used to always stop at my aunt's stocking-ed feet, while they were chatting away above, and start playing with them and smelling them...mmmm! then she'd squirm and blurt out "he's playing with my feet. stop."

That's pretty wild! I first met my wife at work when we were 20 and we didn't start going out for a few years later. We actually went to the same school one year for second grade, but we were in different classes.

I have had a foot fetish since I was in the 8th grade. I went to a Catholic Grade School and we would have to go out for recess in the snow. The girls would slip off their shoes, to put their boots on and I would tell the playground supervisor that I had to go back into the school to use the bathroom.
I would go back into our classroom and have a field day with the girls shoes. All this in a Cahtolic School!!!

I think one is born with it. Developing seems rather technical, like developing a product or so. It is possible to have a light fetish that was not exposed due to lack of right moment and then it bursts into the scene when fueled by a girl or so like Salma.
I do not think one works on his fetish.
