Recently, I set up a free account with Photobucket to upload a few hundred photos in a private album. No problem for the first few weeks, but to my surprise, I discovered recently that those photos with even so much as frontal nudity were removed, and in place of each image removed was a message stating, "This image or video violated our terms of agreement." If so, why did those images remain for several weeks before being deleted without my knowledge or consent?
Has anyone else here had a similar problem with Photobucket or other such Web sites? If so, do you know of another such online image service which does not censor private albums so that I can transfer my pictures there and then cancel my Photobucket account as quickly as possible?
Perhaps it's my own fault for not reading their "terms of agreement." But then, with my album being "private" (or so I thought), I just assumed (obviously incorrectly) that I wouldn't have such a problem.
Welcome to the new world order!

I'll look into zoomshare. Thanks.
Based on my own experience, it doesn't surprise me now to learn that others have also been victimized by the censors at Photobucket. Perhaps some enlightened Web designer will develop an image hosting site that actually practices free speech. However, in the present climate, I wouldn't hold my breath. (If I had the means, I would do it myself.)

Thanks, Rosedesire. We always have to have a back-up plan. It is getting tough out here to have a little adult fun with photo shots. Again, thanks.

Hopefully better than Photobucket!
So much for the private sector respecting the privacy of individuals in the present political climate and in the age of relentless corporate media consolidation. I'm tempted to laugh, except that it really isn't funny, considering that our rights as free citizens are at stake.
In light of revelations about unauthorized electronic surveillance, one has to assume that our e-mail is being monitored as well, if not as yet censored. And one has to wonder how secure the files on our computers are and will remain.

I use thumb drives and other external hard drives as back up.

I've had hassles there too. They blocked alot of xxx gifs i had. Which is fair enough. But they also blocked some pics of my wifes soles. No nudity - just feet. I mean, they blocked 4-5 pics, but have allowed about 150 others.
