i know this is off topic but u know when you download a file in rar and sometimes u have to put in a password to open the file, i dont know how to do it. i always put in a default password but when i try to open it, it wont let me if anyone reads this and knows my situation please help me out theirs some foot videos i want to open and i cant see them

There are some websites out there that make you enter a password you recieve after registering to their site and paying money. Letting you download the file is their tactic to annoy you and increase the probability that you will pay.

Are these rar files posted on other forums? Most rar files don't need a password, unless the poster deliberately secured the rar file with a password. Than they should provide the password in the same post.

You will have to get the person that posted the file to provide a password. However if you go to www.download.com and search for "RAR" you will come up with a lot of hits for programs dealing with those files. I found one before that was used to open files where you "forgot" the password. I don't know if it works or not, but might be worth searching out for a try.
