and when i say "our" i mean everyone on this forum, i think we should NOT post anymore threads about stories in the media that put us in a bad light. Now i know most of you say "he's not putting ME in a bad light. but for foot fetishist as a whole, it is. So i'm putting my foot down and asking who all else would like for us to NOT post these stories on the forum.

You are proposing a microcausm of what has already fucked America.
That being said, I'm more likely to accept responsiblity for American policy than the actions of disturbed individuals.
I think that any post that brings to light the misgivings of a group of people, or any post that accentuates the best of what people can do....ultimately give us good perspective and enable reflection upon the issues presented.

Someone else had posted this request earlier on and it made me change my stance as I would frequently post stories like that up on the main board. I understand blackhxc88, but I don't think there's a way to get those types of threads...it's almost like asking for every rock song to have positive lyrics, something that just won't happen.

i know. it just scares the shit out of me every time i read them. and i like reading all the post that pop up on here. but after a while, threads like that scare the shit out of me.

I don't take delight in reading things that might give a negative perspective on foot fetishism but I think that it is a good thing that they are posted. Virtually anyone with a computor and a modem can look in here for any reason (ranging from genuine curiosity to a malicious effort to find some kind of "perv" to blame for some perceived affront). I think that it is better to have members visibly decrying the actions of someone who does harm in a matter where foot fetishism (or, at least, foot-related) might be involved.
There are "weirdos" in any given group. It is better that it is shown that this is not reflective of the general group but the aberrant behavior of an individual; that 99.99999999999% of us are benign and even just "regular" people apart from one particular interest.
