In my opinion, this sounds like a Woman that has little self esteem and is in need of a major ego boost.
She is taking an innocent comment that was meant as a compliment and MILKING it for all it's worth. In this case, the guy respectfully complimented her, likely making her day by giving her attention that she obviously does not get on a regular basis.
In order for her to boost her own ego and gain more attention from others, she needs to put herself on a pedestal and belittle the man who respectfully complimented her in the first place. By doing this, she is reaching out to others to join her on her pedestal and she then becomes the center of attention from others that wish to comment or join in on the belittling.
It's a desperate comment to seek attention and nothing more. I hate girls like this, ALL THE DRAMA!

I second Danielle's comments. Why do women got thought the trouble of fixing up their feet with pedicures and killer shoes when all they say is ewww?

I was so against twitter when it first became popular. I thought not another STATUS to maintain. However, since I have been on Twitter, I see its potential. Even more so with the great conversations or topics it starts here!

While I definitely think the woman overreacted, a couple of things struck me here.
She said "Customer with a foot fetish". I have to wonder if that was her conclusion, or if he actually said "I have a foot fetish, are your feet as pretty as your hands". If it was the latter, then it might sound a little odd to tell a stranger that you had a foot fetish.
Unfortunately, having even a foot fetish is taboo in the "vanilla sex" world. People are very closed minded, and dont understand it, even though it is just a part of the body.
I dont ever recall telling a stranger they have pretty feet. Maybe I'm cautious, or tight assed. I dont know. I've complimented gfs feet, of course, female friends, and friends sisters feet. (To my friends themselves, not directly to their sisters) If I see a stranger's feet, I will just glance, and say to friends. "Whatever girl has hot feet".
I definitely think she overreacted, but, unfortunately, people outside the community dont understand and accept our fetish too well.
