Has anyone else noticed, since their last layout update infact, that they're focussing too much on footjobs? I know they used to link to that kind of content before but it's on a whole different scale now. I've had to stop visiting as it's got so bad (as a straight guy seeing another guys penis is a big turn off!).

From my personal experience based upon reading the many requests I have gotten, most people enjoy the footjob niche of the fetish. It really only makes sense that a big site like footster would lean towards the majority. I think that is why smaller and independent sites like mine are able to be slightly succesful in this scene. I can take and fulfill requests for an individual that e-mails me, while a huge site like footster isn't able to focus on every single e-mail they get due to the huge amount of feedback they receive.
The moral of the story is: "to each their own" If you don't like a site, start visiting others just like you said you said!

A ton of foot fetish sites are all about just footjobs now it seems. It's sad really, there is so much more to the foot fetish world than footjobs.

What little earnings there are to be earned in the foot fetish space of internet porn can be best capitalized on by focusing on footjob/worship content.
I imagine the various sub niches don't have a large enough market/audience to make them a worthwhile investment to content producers/marketers. Like Kara suggested, the little guy can survive by developing a small fan base whose needs they serve. However, the cash flows are likely never going to be high enough to cover the cost production, hosting, marketing and capex (capital expenditures). In a nutshell, the ability to raise outside capital is next to zero, and the cash flows are too small to grow organically.
Probably TMI, but oh well.

The focus on FJ's makes sense to me, even though I have a very strong affinity towards many other aspects of the fetish. In many ways I see it as the "ultimate act"- the object of our strong desire (feet) getting a guy off.
