I don't use MySpace nearly as much as I used to, but when I did, dealing with fellow foot fetishists was often problematic. Whenever I accepted their requests to be added, the guys immediately went through my friends list and tried requesting every female there. If their requests were accepted, they would go on to bombard the girls with (sometimes respectful, sometimes not) comments/questions about their feet. I have a lot of foot fetish girls/models and other fetish practitioners as "friends" there, but not every woman there is into that seen, and those ladies were not pleased.
I tried adding the following notice to my page...
"Fellow foot fetishists, please do not assume that just because a lady is in my Top Friends section that she wants your attention. Some of the people there have simply provided me with "feet & face" pictures so that their square will be in keeping with the theme of my page."
...but it didn't seem to help much. Neither did asking them to cool it.
In fact, it got so bad that eventually girls who had complained to me about it just asked to be removed. They explained that it was not because of anything I had ever said or done, but because they realized I was indirectly responsible for the unwanted attention they were getting from overzealous foot fetishists. Eventually, I just stopped accepting requests from any male whose name or profile indicated an interest in female feet.
And don't even get me started on the guys who saved custom images from my MySpace Pictures section and reposted them as their own on theirs.
So why do I bring this up if I don't use MySpace much these days? Well, unfortunately, the same sort of thing has started to happen with Twitter.

i never had much faith in trusting the social ettiquettes of foot fetishists as a whole. this foresight is why i very rarely accepted fetish friend requests on my personal social networking profiles in the past or present.
the sheer amount of foot fetish commentaries that i read on the internet were enough for me to know that these guys will frighten women whether they intended to or not. i did not want my female friends to ever remotely associate me with the actions of other foot fetishists.
it's sad to affirm that my predictions were probable. that is why i firmly stand by the idea that we need less fetishists out there giving us a bad name. yes, it is a hopeless fight but at least I'm on the right side of the dividing line.

This has never been a problem since the women I know have to be directly asked first if they are ok with getting requests, responses and questions from other people who may or may not be fans. I am very very big on privacy on their behalf and will only let someone know who they are after I have screened them. If I have every released any info on any of my models to someone else in general, then I already checked your whereabouts and have your IP and time stamp just in case. I'm not interested in having my rep ruined by idiots who can't control themselves in the first place.
Besides all that, I'm generally a good judge of character and will know who is honest and who isn't. Everyone has motives, just have to know what they are.

Been there and done that. Had a creeper find Carmen's MySpace and send her threatening emails about "watching her" and doing stuff to her when she isn't aware he's around. The same guy, years later, found Mindee's and sent her the SAME EXACT email, word for word. So let me get this straight... Someone actually sits there and whacks it to threatening girls online? Sad!
But more on your topic, I totally agree. Keyboard warriors, or in this case, Casanovas, can be downright dumb! With my email address put on each of my contributions here on Wu's, I tend to get random IMs and emails from guys who think I'm the girl in the photos. They do everything from ask me to send them free pictures, to tell me how they're stroking it, etc. Seriously? What happened to "hello" first?
My most classic moment though. When I had the Soles of Silk MySpace page running (I took it down because of stuff like this), this guy sent me a letter on there saying how he wanted to take me out, give me foot rubs and suck my toes. I told him he didn't want to do that. He swore he did and asked me for photos. I kindly asked him if he READ my page before sending this letter. On the page it stated in three areas that this was a page representing a site and the person running it is MALE. My sex said MALE and everything. Anyhow, he said he did read it and he wanted to still do all those things. He begged me for photos and I kindly once again said, "You really don't want to see photos of my feet." He swore he did and I said "fuck it," and took one of my hairy male feet and sent it to him. He got right back to me cursing at me and said I was gay and posing as a female. LOL... I said next time, read the page like he swore he did. He didn't get back to me anymore.
I'm suprised that there are so many people like that. I don't know what it is really. I'm sure there are loads of guys who like feet and don't talk about it AT ALL with strangers on the internet.
I know that it's quite rare to come across those kind of posts on here, so it isn't all bad. I guess there are those kinds of people who'd be harassing women, kink or not, all over the place. It just becomes more noticeable when you're involved.
I mean, the kinds of comments you see on Youtube are embarrassing! It's difficult to imagine the sort of people who write such horrible things, completely and utterly shameless!

Patrick's post brings to mind a few random guys who have emailed or messaged me asking for girls' phone numbers after I mentioned receiving texts from them or talking with them on the phone. Really. Like I'm going to just give out something personal like that entrusted to me to a stranger.
Oh, and just to be clear, I don't think there's anything wrong with respectfully commenting about a girl's feet if she's posted a barefoot image somewhere. I like leaving friendly comments myself. I just find the explicit stuff to be extremely rude and crude.
