But I must ask...what do you mean when you say "Lala, please verify if Janet Mason protests"? Why would you assume that I would "protest"...and what is it that I'd "protest" to begin with? And how would Lala, whom I don't even know, be aware of any said hypothetical protest on my part?

LOL, no worries...I never doubted it your story for a moment!
One reason is that it wasn't too "extreme". But first and foremost, it would be rather easy for anyone who doubted your story to verify its veracity or falsehood since Lala posts here herself and would undoubtedly see your story. Even if she didn't, since she has her own site anyone could contact her directly and ask! :-)
