Have you guys noticed many of their videos are missing? It looks like 80% of the content is gone now. Also, it looks like none of the videos are downloadable anymore for free. Anyone noticed this?

They're basically trying to get rid of piracy by way of getting rid of anonymity. You have to get verified to put vids up now, so if its pirated they know who to come after.
In the past verification meant taking a picture of yourself holding a piece of paper that has your pornhub name on it. I'm guessing that has somehow changed since a lot of the folks complaining are saying they did that yet they were still part of the mass purge of people who did not.
In other words, the days of buying a vid and then uploading it on Pornhub are over. You have to be a content creator now, and those vids have to be made BY YOU. Made by or starring you, or both.

The underage content was why they lost Visa as a merchant, as that was some of the pirated vids people would upload. Lose Visa as a merchant = mass purge of pirated content and unverified users. In fact, currently, because of the loss of Visa, there is no way to get a Premium subscription unless you use cryptocurrency.
Right now if you want to get vids from the content creators you can't do it through Pornhub. When you try it'll say "purchases have been temporarily disabled." So I don't know if they're waiting out Visa, to show them "We've changed please let us use you again!", or trying to get someone like MasterCard, or CCBIll, or whatever.
Oops, just Googled it, make that Visa *and* Mastercard. Soooo PH is effectively screwed for the time being.

I’m struggling to get my PH account verified. Al my videos have been unlisted and marked as pending review which is a pain in the ass. When the trouble is over, I’ll be super happy. I’m tired of seeing all the pirated content on there, including most of my entire studio.

I just tried to read the NY Times article, and couldn't get through it, there's just so much disgusting, immoral and illegal stuff out there that it can get really depressing. I have tried to get my video clips off that place because of all that nonsense, but have been unable to.

Tuff times for all the "there's plenty of free foot porn on Pornhub, why should I pay for it?" lads, huh?
and the group behind that is an "anti-porn" group that's hiding behind the anti-trafficking movement. if it was really about stopping trafficking, they wouldn't also be the group that pushed for sesta-fosta bill that basically killed backpage and online escorting.

Yes, I am aware of the issue of a possible anti-porn crusade in disguise, which would indeed be a huge leap backwards. Yet from my own vendor's viewpoint, pragmatically, PornHub's move meant many copyrighted videos illegally posted by pirates or Idiotic Dicks around the world blown away with a click.. not a bad development at all..

We are now also registered with Pornhub because we want to publish free hardcore content there. Signing up was relatively easy. We only needed a company certificate and an affiliate program on our website to be accepted as a content creator. As PH is currently doing, we feel safe because of pirates and other people who would interfere with our proper work.

I haven’t been able to get my previously uploaded videos active again, but I can upload new videos with no problem. I’m happy about the change. It got rid of all the piracy on their site.
