Any C4S studio producers here? What are your thoughts on the new rules they have beginning Sept. 2021?

The site now requires not only the studio owner, but also everyone who appears in videos to submit a signed consent form along with their name, photo ID and birthdate.

What I hate about this is that C4S has been in operation for nearly 20 years and now these strict guidelines are going into effect?!?

I'm thinking some producers probably screwed up with posting content of minors or there may have been complaints from participant(s) who were embarrassed from being seen by friends or relatives in these adult videos. Pornhub also had to make similar changes a few years ago. Most of their amateur content has been removed.

I think social media is to blame for this because it's too easy these days for trolls and stalkers to find out the true identities and addresses of amateur girls and blackmail them.

This really sucks for male producers like myself because I know it will now be very difficult to convince the ladies to sign documents and provide ID. Most of them are strippers and escorts who just want to get paid.

I'm not sure if its clips4sale themselves, or clips4sale doing what Visa tells them as not to lose Visa as a payment processor. I feel like its the latter (there is precedent), but guess we'll have to wait and see.

I’ve had many women through the years tell me no because I’ve always made them provide their ID and complete a model release form before our sessions. I have the 2257 compliance documents available for all my models since 2005. I was happy when PH got rid of the bulk of their content and this won’t be any different. It stops piracy so I can appreciate that.

I guess I'll just start printing out the 2257 compliance forms and hope the girls I meet will sign them. But I'm almost sure they won't submit their ID. That will most likely be the deal breaker.

Getting ID’s has been a lot easier than I expected. It’s not that hard as long as you don’t make it a big deal. Just inform your performers that they need to fill out the form and have a copy of their ID for legal bookkeeping and nothing more.

I agree with the fellow producers who deem that imposing USC 2257 compliance for all performers in clips4sale videos is a positive (and long overdue, IMHO) change, for various reasons (getting rid of the suckers selling vids with underage or non-consenting performers, preventing piracy, etc.)
You cannot produce adult-oriented material in Italy without a written release signed by the model/performer, and a copy of her photo-ID, so I have always been USC 2257 compliant by default.

C4S producer here.

This happened to the porn industry many years ago.

It was when political candidates wanted to cater to the religious communities. Credit card companies cracked down on the adult industry due to politics. It led to many companies closing down because the compliance requirement were overly stringent. Apparently, that was done on purpose.

They wanted each company to provide the photo ID and model release for any performers in their videos, which was standard. But it also wanted all the previous and current stage names for all performers. Many performers didn't know the names companies gave them because they never looked at their videos afterward. And then there was the resale factor. I knew a girl who found her content on a site totally different from the producer with whom she worked. That was long before numerous sites, such as Pornhub existed.

Companies and performers were wary of uploading this confidential information to some encrypted server. Just imagine companies who had hundreds of girls over the years having to gather all of that paperwork, sort through it, and upload it. It probably meant trying to contact girls to ask for further information, i.e. those other stage names.

Regarding USC 2257 compliance, you only need a 2257 form if you are doing that type of content.

Anyone every seen a 2257 model release? It can make you feel as if you are signing your life, rights, and first born child away to Rumpelstiltskin! hahaha!!! Seriously!!!

@jediofthefeet...Yeah. I knew this had something to do with these damn politicians. They're ruining everything right now! I wish I could've opened my C4S store years sooner. But I didn't get my own apartment until 2017. I had a good 4 year run and now this mess! Having to ask the girls to sign paperwork and show ID kinda takes the excitement out of making videos now.

I was thinking of starting my own site. But there's a lot more maintenance that comes with it. C4S was way more convenient. You just upload your content and they handled the rest. I wonder how Neil (the C4S owner) feels about this? This is going to heavily decrease his earnings.

Does this only apply to Clips4Sale Producers or Images4Sale as well?

@NorcalfeetStudios...I'm not sure. But I believe it also applies to Images4Sale. I have an I4S store with a few photo sets. But I haven't added any content in 3 years because they didn't sell well. Do guys still buy photos? Most of my profits came from my videos.

I'll be calling C4S admin soon to get more details about the new guidelines.

I believe it’s going to be on I4S as well.

Let us know what you find out. We've sold tons of sets on I4S over the years but with their wire fees and bank fees on the producer's end there wasn't much profit. Wouldn't mind closing shop there, not really a loss.

I've been with C4S as a studio for 15 years and had contact with the owner who sold out in August 2021. This all has to do with the Kristoff article in the New York Times about the 14 year old girl who was exploited with revenge porn on Pornhub. That led to Pornhub, which was pretty much a pirate site changing its whole business model (which was great because it eliminated a lot of my copyright headaches literally overnight). HOWEVER, it also had ripples through the banking industry who had supported credit card processing on pornhub. So the new rules are all about the banks cracking down to show they are good citizens. But each bank is different Manyvids seemingly has a looser policy and no pre-approval process like C4S has had since Oct 15th.

I've had all my ids and model releases for years too so that isn't the issue. What is however is that I find some of the new rules extremely odious, onerous and subjective. A lot of my clips have girls crutching outside with no adult or sexual acts involved. they are fully clothed! Yet the new rules related to people in the background leads to a ton more editing work for rules that are STRICTER than US law related to forms for background people in a public place. And the issue is its totally subjective from reviewer to reviewer regarding who in the background they deem to be a violation or not...

I’ve had some mixed luck with the compliance stuff on C4S. Sometimes they don’t care about certain things. Other times, all my new uploads get turned down for a random reason. As for ManyVids, I just started on there a month ago and they ask for compliance documents as well.

It's been a hassle for me as I've shot with over 400 models. However, I've always taken IDs and model releases since day 1. As should any real producer. I was glad about the fact they are trying to get rid of GWCs or session dudes trying exploit women without any consent. The biggest pain in the ass and the thing that is truly worrying isn't the ID/releases, it's the other elephant in the room. They are also cracking down on what you can shoot.

The banks (Due to religious pressuere) are literally telling us what we, as consenting adults are allowed to jerk off too. For example, In a lot of my clips, especially my foot smothering/facesitting clips, the victim is often smothered till he "passes out", of course these are fake, but this is no longer allowed. If you shoot bondage things are even worse. You can't even show a pendulum to act out a hypno scene anymore. To me this is disgusting. Why should we be told what is ok to jerk off to if there's full consent from all 18+ parties involved? How far are these religious pricks gonna take this? How long til lthey deem foot fetish too far and take our content off the web. We need more people aware of what's going on.
