The first Playstation is a system that's never really wowed me a whole lot overall, but there were a handful of real gems to be had on the system once you got through the over-abundance of crap games for it.
Probably my favorite PS1 game there is or ever will be is Castlevania-Symphony of the Night, which is bitter-sweet blessing of a game because it's the last 2D Castlevania made for a home system, but some other faves include: Silhouette Mirage (Hey, it's a Treasure game, and what is not to love about their work?) Bust-A-Groove (So it's a rhythm game, so what? It's still got some cool characters and is highly addictive) Intelligent Qube Resident Evil 2
