Hello Sam 4 Feet -

There's no substitute for big piles of RAM. I would never recommend staring with less than a gigabyte on any computer system, whether it be intended for games or not. For my own purposes, I use 4 gigabytes of RAM and that's pretty good.

Graphics cards run anywhere from $69 to $499 - and just about everything in between. One thing I always do before adding a new graphics card and that is to check (and replace) the power supply in the computer itself. Make sure it's robust enough to handle the new resource drain that a good graphics card will absorb (a 400-watt power supply is pretty good).

Respectfully,

Ben

What are your computers current specs as far as ram and graphics? Also do you know what motherboard you have? Because that will determine how much ram you can put in and what kind.
