For some strange reason I have some clips that used to work perfectly fine for some time and then become unplayable. I don't know if the files became corrupted or if occasional updates to players like "Real Player" changed a video codec that doesn't allow the file to play anymore. Anyone else experience something like this with any of their video files?
On the other end of that spectrum there was a video I downloaded from YouTube that I thought was corrupted and ran though the player at like 10X the speed. (one minute video playing in 10 seconds) Then I tried watching it again a year later and it worked perfectly fine after I assume there was an automatic software update to my player.

I downloaded the program VLC Player. I play all vids and clips I download through that as opposed to Real Player or the Windows Media player, I have yet to have a problem.
Some clips dont work in Windows Media player but yet play in the VLC with no problem. Great quality too...

Probably this, or it may have came with a coded in license that has now expired or no longer valid. Were these ones you recorded yourself? Or did they come from a paysite?

Seriously, if VLC can't play it, delete it.
