I remember a few years ago in New Zealand where they had NOS bars until they became illegal. A bros of mine was managing one and on the last day before it became illegal, he gave a big box of left over cream chargers, balloons and NOS crackers. A hell of a lot of fun [Big Grin]

I wonder if it's illegal in Australia. Andy? lol a memory flash has just hit me inhaling helium chipmunk talk [Big Grin]

Has anyone else tried inhaling it?.... Even nos systems in cars I don't mind hearing about aswell. Have never been in a car has been hit with a shot of nos.

In the Eighties I managed a restaurant and would routinely order the small cartridges by the case and visited a number of nearby college campuses to sell "Whippits". That was a good money maker and it meant that the kitchen staff would leave our own whipped cream cans alone.

Just once at the dentist for some wisdom tooth action. They took me to a room, and after asking some questions hooked me up to the N2O with a nose mask thing. The dental assistant said the dentist would be in in a few minutes, just to chill and enjoy.
So I leaned back on the chair, closed my eyes and took some deep breaths. I guess I went away for a few minutes, not really sure what was up with that, but when I was 'back' I was sitting in the chair, and just felt generally happy. You're not really 'out of it' you just feel pretty good, you feel a nice warmth flowing through you. Like imagine that most perfect temperature day, not too warm nor too cool, and there's a nice breeze blowing on you, and you feel warm inside as well, but not in a [Jerkoff] way.
And shit is funny, which is why they call it laughing gas I suppose (big surprise eh?)
It's not like in TV shows though where you start acting like an idiot, I just had a big grin on my face, and had a few chuckles to myself at my situation, and I also found the fact that I was finding things funny quite funny in itself.
So anyway after the tooth pulling business was done, which with N2O and novocaine isn't that unpleasant, they remove the mask, you take some normal breaths, I had a mild headache for about 5 minutes afterward, but other than that within 30 seconds you're back to complete normal.
Oh an I just noticed you didn't really ask what it's like, but hey for those who don't, that's what it's like lol ^ [Smile]
Lets see as for legality, I don't know. I live in America, land of rules, safety and political correctness, so you never can tell what silly laws may or may not exist at any given time. I've heard it's pretty easy to acquire though. And also the N2O for cars is no good for anything but cars, it has some bitter shit added to it to make sure you only use it for good old fashion responsible racing.
