I used to like eating Taco Bell years ago when they used fresh ingredients in the food they made. When I say fresh ingredients like the produce and 100% beef, but that was over 20 years ago.

what do you think of the KFC double down?
Never tried it but it doesn't look appealing at all. Now a taco wrapped in a doritos shell ... I thought it tasted great, still haven't tried a fish taco though. I hear people raving about those things all the time

I've never tried it because I don't like Doritos. But now that I heard you rave about it, I suppose I'll give it a shot. Other than that, I don't mind whatever else they sell there.
As far as the double down from KFC, I tried it once a long time ago. Never again. It was a lot smaller than I thought it would be and it tasted just like a chicken cutlet would with the bread on it, only more expensive for something much smaller than the hero sandwich itself.

I remember back in the 90s a movie called "Demolition Man" starring Stallone and Snipes. This is the first time I heard of Taco Bell as it's a mediocre focal point in the movie. Not too sure if they have any here in Melbourne but might do a bit of research and check it out if theres a store near me.
Back in NZ I miss Wendys Old Fashion Burgers, It didn't last here in Oz as it went bust in 1986 but still thrives in NZ til this day. 7 stores around Melbourne city were bought out by Hungry Jacks (Burger King) is why some of the BK restaurants have the Wendy's foyer and dining area set up.
I've tried the double down and was an experience but only for that reason only. It was ok. When it comes to KFC I'll take the 3 piece feed needing a juicy thigh or 2 along with a leg with added condements of course.
Back to Taco Bell, If I find one and check it out, I'll let yous know what I think on this thread

I've had it a few times and it's awesome tasting. I hope they have a Cooler Ranch version coming out.

I don't intend on trying those personally. However, I've had many a delish item from there in the past. I used to hit the cheapy menu hard back when it was the cheapy menu: 89 cent chicken burritos, 89 cent beefy five layer burritos, different layered nachos, 89-99 cent volcano tacos, gordita specials. Taco salad specials when they were five bucks, and chalupas and burrito supremes when they were 99 cents. Taco Bell nowadays disappoints me, nothing really special in the cheapy menus anymore along with the cheapy menu not being as cheap.

It just doesn't look too appealing to me. I have no interest in trying the doritos locos taco. A friend of mine tried it and told me it wasn't as good as people say it is. But I definately could go for some real tacos from Mexico. You haven't experienced really good ta cos until you've had them from Mexico.

Oh I agree, nothing beats a real taco from Mexico... Even those taco trucks have some of the most awesome home-made tasting tacos.

The black shell taco one was good too. Think it was the pepper jack taco? The shell was just regular one colored black I think...but the sauces in it were fantastic
