I just recently began drinking coffee on a regular basis last year. I would have the occasional cup at work, but I now have one cup a day at work...and about two or three on Saturday and Sunday when I wake up.
I have to laugh now, because my tastes have evolved in such a short time where I now prefer buying whole beans and grind them up just before I brew it. I prefer liquid, or flavored creamers, and use a bit of honey in my coffee instead of processed sugar to sweeten it some. It's a entire process now when I brew it at home...LOL!
I did the same thing when I started drinking beer and other liquors last year...LOL!

Same here, caffeine is really bad for you. Even decaf has some caffeine. It's a roller coaster ride that eventually beats you and you crash with a ton of fatigue. Lite to moderate exercise and a healthy period of no caffeine will wean you off and keep your natural cortisol flow regulated so there's no dips in energy. Coffee does smell and taste good though, have to admit.

I never drank coffee until last year. Didn't like it. I've been drinking coffee lately because its healthy, from what I've read. Supposedly, coffee helps with memory and other healthy benefits, but only when you drink it black. Once you start adding sugars and creamers, the health benefits aren't there and its as if you're eating a jelly donut. I've been drinking coffee while studying for some exams because it stimulates memory and so far I've passed all of them. 1 more exam to go, so I'm not going to change. Now I'm starting to like coffee. Once I'm done with my last exam, I don't think I'll drink it regularly. Maybe every now and then.

Of all my vices - and I have a few - caffeine was the easiest to surrender. Next will likely be cigarettes.
Even when I drank coffee, I had some problems with it. The flavor of it is too full for the "thinness" of the liquid. It should have a consistency similar to Kaluha. These are personal texture issues.
The vice that is last on my list to give up...Bourbon - cold, dead fingers in this case.
