Hey Polar, you basically use the same entries you would use for jpges, but you need to use the "img" tags. Here's a sample:

[img] http://www.yoursite.com/images/mygif.gif" [/img]

guess Im being dumb, I have them saved on my phone but need to host them elsewhere first?

Yes, you do, but it can be at a free hosting site like Tumblr, as long as you park them on somebody's server...

I have them on my tumblr but how do I get the url's to post elsewhere?

When you view your images on Tumblr, or any web site, it generates an address on the address bar on top. This is the one for this thread:

http://www.wusfeetlinks.com/ubbcgi/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=reply&f=21&t=001902

If you're viewing an image file, the address should end with a .jpg .gif .png etc. extension, if you use the [img] tags, that should enable people to see your files here.
