Busy shopping mall, packed. Would you rather wait 15-20mins on idle for an ideal parking space right next to the entrance, or an instant guaranteed spot on the outer rim of the parking lot.

I'd take the outer space, but what I look for (when at a super market) is a space close to the grocery cart return (usually midway) so I don't have to walk a mile returning the cart. (But I still wouldn't wait in idle for it)

My legs work just fine, I have no fear of walking. I do, however, share the sentiment with aka.footjoyboy; much prefer a location very near the cart corral.

I park in the first available spot typically. My girlfriend will have me drive around looking for something close to the entrance even though we will probably walk the equivalent of a few miles once inside.

That's why when you are walking and you see a car stalking you for the spot walk towards the wrong car and then look confused and cut through to the next aisle so they have to go around. lol
