FAVs: -JRPGs. It doesn't matter if it's turn-based or real-time action, these games really draw me in since they tend to be more story-based. -Action-Adventures. Because exploration and some pretty hectic battles are always fun. -Fighters; particularly 2D fighters such as Street Fighter and Marvel vs. Capcom, though I also loved Soul Calibur II. Even though I suck at most of them, I love playing them.
LEAST FAVs: -First-Person Shooters. They never appealed to me, and I especially hate the realistic approach that a lot of them are taking nowadays (though that seems to be gaming in general, especially Western-developed games, though most FPSes are made by Western developers...) -Racers, except for Mario Kart, F-Zero, and Diddy Kong Racing. They tend to be boring. -Sports, except for Mario Tennis and FIFA 98 (me and my siblings played the hell out of that game). Same as above, but even moreso. Plus, they tend to be rehashed every year, and people still buy them.

Well damn, I'll be the odd-ball. I love FPS.... and Guitar Hero.
I don't care for pretty much anything else.

My favorites by far are beat-em-ups, action/adventure, and RPGs. I've never been much for racers, asides from something quirky like Mario Kart.

LEAST FAVORITES: Music/Dance - Guitar Hero, Dance Dance Revolution Turn Based RPG - Older Final Fantasy games
This was hard to say as I am not sure you put games like Zelda and Resident Evil into the same listing. But to me, they both allow movement, puzzle solving, boss battles, ugrading, etc. But those are the kinds of games I love. And then stuff like God of War. Not sure what you call that genre. Hack & Slash?
