Just did some research and several sources (articles and interviews with physicians online) and all were in agreement that if you are turned on by the foot you have "Partialism" not "Fetishism." Partialism includes guys that like boobs, buts etc. Apparently if you like just shoes or hose you have a Fetish. So, technically I have partialism. Shoes or stockings alone don't do it for me. Damn, I must be caught somewhere in between I suppose. I love feet in sexy shoes, but I have to admit that I do get turned on just by seeing sexy sandals or the like, but in my head I picture these sexy shoes wrapped around a pair of gloriously pedicured toes. Where am I in this new definition??

I think what they said was if your major focus is on the non-human object then you have a fetish. The fetish is the article...shoe, bra, underpants etc. If you can't be aroused without the object and your entire focus is on the object you have a fetish.
I am like you. I like sexy shoes but to really turn me on the foot must be in them.

Spartan Guy, you are correct. Another facet of this is that traditionally those who are merely attracted to feet would have been labeled "foot partialists," and only those for whom female feet are necessary for sexual gratification would have been considered "true" fetishists.
However, incorrect usage of the term "foot fetishist" (as opposed to "foot partialist") has become so widespread that it is now accepted as correct as well.

That does make since. Its not a fetish if your sexual pleasure is apart of the human body. So that means i don't have a fetish, its really normal that i like female feet. Thanks for the info Spartanguy

That is EXACTLY what my last girlfriend said. She said I didn't have a fetish and that a fetish was more having to do with an object and being able to cum from just that object.

Indeed, the partialism label is old news by now, and despite having known about it for some time I still generally use the term foot fetish out of convenience when speaking to others about my passion for feet because it's simply the most succinct way to get the point across to the average person in the least amount of them. Besides, even if I took the time to explain to them what partialism is, chances are good that they'd not remember it two hours later anyway. Furthermore, even Webster's NewWorld Dictionary qualifies it as a fetish, and similarly many medical journals have cited partialism as a type of fetish as well, thus retaining the fetish label. The bottom line is that I don't really care what it's called as long as I've got it. hehe
