I always have these football songs running though my head during this time of year, especially since the NFL season is almost over and on the verge of moving into the playoffs. I like these songs because it reminds you that being a man is about being the one with directions and having the endurance to wither through whatever storm life hands you.
It also reminds football fans of just how rugged and painful the game is, and how the national treasure of the game have given us the legendary players that have graced the past with their blood sweat and tears and how the game continues to replenish that image.

That was a great tune. Long ago, when it was a popular single, I was covering it and I loved playing it; haven't thought about it in a long time. Thanks for recovering the memory.
Right now, the tune that is crowding thoughts out of my head is the "Axel F" theme by Harold Faltermeyer. Comes from the first "Beverly Hills Cop".
