Phsycologically,it may have effected the French side with Zidane getting sent off,but it doesn't take away the fact that the Italians dispatched all their penalties and the French didn't.

Every player gets provocations inside the field. Materazzi was wrong,but Zidane did worse.
Plus I am wondering why they are sort of processing Materazzi for the provocations after they did not did the same with Poulsen in Euro 2004 (do you remember? Totti spit in his face and RIGHTLY got punished.But unlike now NONE wondered what Poulsen might have had said to him).
This does not look like an equal treatment to me. I guess this proves how "right" are those saying that Italia won thanks to some "mafia" in Fifa.
The fact is that as france sent us out of the world cup in 1998,we took our revenge today. It's sport,learn to accept it.
And if you don't well...I don't mind,since we are World Champions the same for four more years,even if you don't like it.
