I hear many people say that they can't look at steve mcnair the same for cheating on his wife, they thought he was a "good guy" (whatever the hell that is ) but now think his legacy is tainted all because he had a girlfriend on the side
i think that's ridiculous, when you are a rich and famous athlete that puts you in an alpha male postition
since the beginning of time, alphas have and always will have multiple sexual partners
to think that these guys who swim in pussy with no effort whatsoever are going to be faithful to one woman is downright stupid
any guy that claims he would reject all of these sexy girls that approach them is either gay or needs to talk to his doctor about hormone replacement therapy because you "equipment" isn't working, you can't know for sure unless you are in the alpha postition that steve was in

Yeah, my opinions changed, I used to think of him as a lucky motherfucker who was great football player, rich as fuck, a guy who had it all and a person to be jealous of in one sense because he had it all but at the same time, a cool dude that as a football fan you couldn't help but admire.
Now that he got shot in the head by some crazy bitch, I think, wow, poor bastard, he had it all and now he's dead cause he got himself tied up with the wrong screech, what a shame, hell of a football player, a good guy all around, playing through pain and injury during his career, always donating to charity and giving back to his community, a very tragic loss. May he Rest in Peace and enjoy the after life to the fullest.

So what if he slept around. I'll do the same if I were living that kind of life. It was sad to hear what happened, but he was never too crazy about him. His legacy should not be tainted.
Get back to me when Tom Brady is shot by Gisele Bundchen upon finding out that he's been sleeping around with Megan Fox. Not that I hate Tom Brady. He's one of my favorite athletes. I say that only because that would make for a more compelling story. I would take Fox over Gisele any day.

What Steve McNair did wasn't any different than what thousands, and perhaps even more than that, of husbands in this country have done at some point or another. My opinion hasn't changed at all. It's just unfortunate that he paid with his life when most men tend to probably get away with it. RIP.

Exactly Salvy_Mic. I say my opinion of him hasn't changed because I never assumed he was perfect just because he could throw a football, and I didn't need him to be perfect to think highly of him. I think of a quote from an athlete that people love to hate, Allen Iverson. To paraphrase; "I don't worry about a bunch of imperfect people expecting perfection out of me."
i keep hearing a few talking heads say that can't look at him the same, you'd think being around these athletes they would actually open their eyes and pay attention

I guess if you kill someone and you *know* you're going to get caught within a few days, then you have no choice but to kill yourself. Perhaps she felt that by taking herself out, that would be a "romantic" way to end the relationship -- with her and nobody else.
If those walls could talk, they would tell us what she was saying to herself before killing him.

as for why she killed him, i think it came down to this
she was working a dead end job at dave and busters, probably had no clue what she wanted to do with her life and probably couldn't imagine herself ever doing well enough to support herself
she meets steve, he bangs her a couple times, she falls in love probably because of his insane amount of money and probably envisions him taking care of her
high expecatations often lead to great disappointment
she finally gets the impression that she is just being used for sex, he will never love her and will never take marry and take care of her and this was her breaking point, she felt incredibly desperate and desperate people are the most dangerous in the world, they lose all logical and rational thought
once she realized that she was a piece of meat to him, she felt there was no hope for her future and felt enraged for being used for sex
just my theory...
