Have any of you ever attended a live concert of some kind that featured barefooted female performers, onstage? It can be either singers, or dancers. I've been to a number of free concerts with barefooted dancers/singers. At a Renaissance festival, I saw a barefooted folksinger, once. After her set, I actually asked her if she often performed live barefooted, and she said she got into her music more without shoes on!

What a treat for any foot fetishist to see a hot singer on stage performing barefooted. But to answer your question, no I haven't. There are a number of female singers who said they feel more comfortable and would rather perform barefooted. Katharine McPhee comes to mind.
Dougiezerts, I'm pretty sure you've checked out the pictures National provided in his post promoting the contest. Katy Perry, hot singer, usually known for her nice rack. But thanks to National, Katy Perry will take on a new legacy when she is judged for her feet as well. Here are two of her pictures he posted.
Whoever was at that concert AND got the best seats in the house must've feel in love with her after watching her go barefooted for God knows how long. I'm certain that National's contest is going to treat her better than anyone else's. By the way, I'm looking forward to your version of National's contest.
If I were at that concert where someone as great as Katy Perry performed barefoot, and I had seats that were right by the stage, I'll have a hard time looking at her face. I mean, I'll look at her face because it validates that she's Katy Perry and having the face there brings a LOT more character to the feet. But to know that those feet belong to Katy will be bliss.
How long ago was this Renaissance festival?

Wow, those are great photos! And she even plays guitar! Thanks so much! I've tried to compile a list of female singers who've performed live barefooted--but there's so many of them doing it, nowadays!

I have a sad story regarding this. I went to a White Stripes show back in 2003 at a general admission venue here in NYC, and I was right at the stage. Meg White is famous for drumming barefoot, and thus that was part of the reason I chose to get right up there. But I couldn't see her feet from where she was sitting.
Well the kids behind me were just nuts. I was taut for the entire show, just trying to not fall down cause those little clowns wouldn't stop moshing and shit. Finally, I couldnt take it anymore--I remember being afraid my wool pea coat was going to rip cause so much pressure was being applied. Finally, I went back a little, away from the front. Right after I went, Meg came up center stage and did her famous solo vocal, 'In the Cold, Cold Night'. I was so pissed--I woulda had the best view. She looked great that night too. Argggghghghhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Saw Diana Krall in concert a few years back. Didn't go completely barefoot, but got a good dipping show from her heels.

There is a free street festival in my city once a year, it shows international groups perfoming acrobatic theatre....last time there was one group of three female perfomers from the UK and they performed barefoot the entire time...they even did a few playful things on stage with their feet/toes It was pretty hot....there were also some barefoot hippy girls in the audience.
